La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Winston-Salem

Room was just ok. Hotel itself doesn’t have much, and also the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.

The photos online showed bright, modern, clean rooms. When we arrived, the rooms were much older. Didn’t have the same esthetic as the photos. The grey paint was chipping off the cabinets, the shower drain was rusty. There was an old empty set of doors that opened to the studs of hotel with torn drywall….really creepy… no purpose. The lights/lamps in the room didn’t work. I could only turn the bathroom light on and one other lamp. 3 or 4 didn’t work at all.

Told bathroom was dirty when we arrived was told they would clean it while we ate, came back several hours later and still dirty. They have this sign on their desk but was not given any discount on the room. How is that fair?

Ive stayed here often, but this visit was the best! The television upgrade was much needed and greatly appreciated. The refrigerator upgrade also a great surprise. The bed was just as comfortable as usual. Thanks for Room 109!!!

It is close to the mall and several shopping centers. Many restaurants within walking or short drive distance. Rooms are ok the 1st time I came in March I loved my executive king room. This time I got king business suite made a big difference to me. Even though the front desk manager is nice lady,the rest of the front desk people are not helpful or seem to care at all. If you don't want to have to clean your own room everyday tho I wouldn't choose here.

I spent a weekend recently at this hotel When we arrived at 4:15 our room wasn't even ready. If checkout is at 11:00 I don't see why this happened. The front desk manager had to call staff to take care of cleaning the room and she had an attitude about it The entire hotel is depdorized with a very heavy perfume smell. Not appealing to the senses and actually gave me a headache sleeping in the room the first night. They DO NOT clean the rooms at all and to top that off the Guest has to bring down their dirty towel to receive clean towels. I have never experienced this type of hotel. Breakfast is buffet and served on cheap white picnic plates. The hotel is in bad shape and definitely needs an upgrade. The curtains were yellowing from age and there are no anti slip decals in the shower. No soap for washing you hands and a tiny bar of Dove soap. The bathroom floors are shiny tile and very very slippery even when dry. I ended up taking a fall in the bathroom from the flooring. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. only use Baymont Wyndam when I travel. This time I've been on the road since Dec 15, 2025. Laquinta Baymont is an excellent hotel, with numerous amenities. This one has a workout facility. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Elizabeth works front desk, 3-11 shift. When she learned I was new and relocating to Winston Salem, she couldn't have been more enthusiastic! She told me about the area, where to look for housing, gave me the Visitors Guide to Winston Salem, which contains ALL of the activities, venues, and information about the area. She was continually helpful and very friendly. She had a bus-load of teenage girls check-in on a Friday night. You know young teenagers .... She never lost her cool and was gracious to everyone. This in is sparkling clean, clear about room service/cleaning schedule, and overall very professional. 6 out of 5 LORI STARS!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
