Very well situated in Downtown Winston Salem. Great Staff, very friendly and helpful. Good Restaurant, can get overwhelmed at busy times, but menu is excellent. Rooms are nice and clean, nothing special. Nice relaxing lobby and the Bar is very nice. Managers reception is very nice and worth the visit.

I can only rate my experience thus far and I’ve only made it to the hotel lobby and bar. Check in is at 4pm— which is a good hour later than most hotel properties. I’m still waiting for my room, “housekeeping isn’t quite done with my room”, “sorry about the that hon”, said the front desk clerk. It’s 5:20. I had an appointment at 5pm. I guess I’ll be late. No “grab a drink, here’s a drink coupon” and seemingly no rush to get the room clean quickly since I’m waiting. I do want a clean room of course, but c’mon it’s coming up on 5:30 pm folks. Ridiculous.

Always enjoy our stay! Located in the historic downtown RJ Reynolds building (the father of the Empire State Building). Wonderful service. The views are stunning. Don’t miss Katharine’s Restaurant. Complimentary wine served at 5 pm daily in the lobby. Can’t wait to return!

The Kimpton Cardinal Hotel is a boutique hotel and, as such, it fills the bill in unique, hip design. It was very comfortable. One thing makes this less than a rave review. There was no coffee maker in the room. This is such a common thing in hotels these days that I did not notice it missing until the morning. When I called the front desk, they had one brought up to me after a wait of around 20 minutes.

Visited for a tour of Wake Forest. I think the hotel was the former corporate headquarters of RJR Nabisco. We had a massive room with a sitting area. There was a bowling alley, indoor hoops and rec room tucked away in the bowles of the basement. Had a drink at the bar and ate dinner at the hotel. Not a lot in the area. Thought there would be more in downtown area.

So the staff is awesome however No microwave in the room u have to call down for it. Iron did not work they had to bring me a new one. It was supposed to be with a view and have a bath tub as showed in the pictures however there was definitely not a view of down town and there are no tubs at all. Was told I looked at their other location however I was in Winston Salem so I know better we had a king bed very comfortable however their pillows was like sleeping on bricks
