Great building and location but room was tired.

Service was good. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed the food. Room was cosy.

Service is good but the whole left side of building is noisey from Generators or Boiler systems. Consequently you need to shut your window fully to subdue the noise but then U have a lack of fresh air ..Or make sure U sleep on RHS of building if possible.

Had a Ladies night dinner and dance here room decorated beautifully and great meal. Staff very helpful with setting everything up for the night and during the evening itself. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a venue to hold a function. In the process of planning another event there for later in the year because this one went so well.

We were there for a wedding but stayed for a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The less experienced ones were very attentive to the training they were being given on the job and very willing to learn. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff offered to clean and restock our room even though we were only there for 2 days (very attentive) To be honest we were dreading eating here due to online reviews, how wrong they are. Eight of us had an evening meal. Everyone said it was delicious apart from one who said it was ok. For breakfast we were served with our choice of a Full English and self service drinks and toast. This was excellent. The actual wedding ceremony was magical and again the food for the sit down was served with precision and tasted great. The afternoon ice creams and evening buffet were a wonderful addition. Thank you to all the team for a wonderful weekend. Just one other note the grounds are immaculate, well done to the gardeners. My tips improvement would be new irons for the rooms. The rooms had lots of mirrors and lights but I struggled with the makeup mirror lighting ( but that could be my eyes) Possibly free tea and instant coffee for paying guests in other areas of the hotel as well as their rooms would be a nice touch.

Staff rude and discriminatory to those with disabilities. Would avoid coming here, hotel managers response very disappointing and unhelpful, dismissive and did not seem to care that staff behaved poorly towards disabled visitors. Terrible experience and will not return.

Beautiful historical features in this hotels main areas. A literal stones throw from the beach which is clean and a nice walk. We stayed in the superior room which had lovely views out onto the bay. Lovely and quiet. Delicious, fresh food. Would highly recommend.

Checked in and was not told that breakfast was not included by the receptionist. I thought it was so I was surprised when charged £17 per person for a couple of mini pastries and an orange juice. When queried charge, was told that it would have been £12 if pre ordered. It was the same receptionist and I asked why we were not told at time of check in that breakfast not included and offered the £12 price. He just said he will speak to his manager who was not there. Rooms were dirty, smelt musty and there was blood on the curtains. The room service came on a dirty tray with dirty cutlery, half opened sauces and my pudding was flat as a pancake. I would not stay again and would actively encourage people not to stay here.

We booked Sunday lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday. The food was excellent and good value for money. The staff provided great service, were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back soon. Thank you to Chris and the staff for making my mum's day special.
