The property was a listed Georgian property (1601), which was a fantastic, quirky building, steeped in history and could have been the most amazing hotel. Sadly it was not! The bedroom walls needed painting, there were cobwebs all over the place, the carpet needed vacuuming, the curtains were stained and there were leaks in the ceiling. There was a pool of water on the floor of the bathroom coming from a leak in the ceiling. We only had one cup provided for a cup of tea and only two sachets of milk, which meant that we could only have one drink between two of us.
On a more positive note the bedding was clean and the receptionist was professional and friendly.
I feel very disappointed that I paid so much money for such an unpleasant experience.
It is such a shame.
