The Raven’s Cliff Lodge by Marston's Inns

I recently stayed at the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge by Marston's Inns, and found it to be a clean and comfortable choice for accommodation. The rooms were well-maintained, providing a good night's rest in a peaceful setting. One of the perks I noticed was a discount offered in the restaurant for hotel residents, though it's important to mention that this is only available if you book directly through the hotel, which was a bit disappointing. During my dining experiences at the hotel restaurant, I felt that the staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. While the service was efficient, a warmer interaction would have greatly enhanced the overall experience. Nonetheless, the food quality was satisfactory. Overall, the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge offers a decent stay, especially if you're looking for a straightforward, no-frills accommodation with the convenience of an on-site restaurant. It's a suitable choice for travelers seeking basic comfort and cleanliness.

We stayed in a family roo which was very spacious although could do with a lick of paint and a decent carpet clean the room however was quite adequate. The food was not 15 pounds for Beef Dinner which had lesson the plate i would have had at 7 years of age and served cold. The manager handled it well and sorted us out with a refund and we had to get a take away thats was our real only gripe staff where helpful and polite

Hotel is easy to access from the motorway. Rooms looking a little tired and could do with an update. Not sure if it’s usual but room not cleaned on Sunday. Bar and restaurant were good with plenty of staff and good choice of menu. Nice little play area outside for the kids.

This place is a DIVE! Finger marks, scuffs, dents all over the walls. Hairs in the bathroom. Stains all over the carpet, it was like an assault course trying to dodge them! Stains and holes on the bedsheets. Empty hand wash and shower gel. Chef didn’t come in for breakfast so had a “continental” breakfast which consisted of some rotten bananas and a few slices of bread. Doors slamming all night. Pay more and stay somewhere nicer!

Great place to stop off on my drive from Nottingham to Aberdeen.staff were friendly, food was good as were the rooms. Will use again, for sure 👍
