Woodbury Park Hotel & Spa

Booked a 2 night stay for a birthday through trip.com…called hotel direct too inform them of our stay & asked if we needed to book restaurant for evening meals but told no we can do that when we arrive, booked a trea**ent for myself & hubby…upon arrival we were told restaurant was only available for the 1st evening of our stay & breakfast is available at an extra fee… The food was terrible…Evening meal was a Sirloin, handful of chips & salad leaves at a price of £23, no onion rings or mushrooms etc etc offered with this meal & the steak over cooked, breakfast was worse, bacon chewy, scrambled egg watery, no baked beans & to top it off they charge £10 for full English or £6 for continental, in my opinion & previous stays at other hotels breakfast is complimentary with the room or if a extra fee is asked at least you can get continental & cooked breakfast, I literally paid £10 for bacon,sausage,hash brown, scrambled egg & mushrooms which was all over cooked… The room was a bit tired with décor & bathroom had no ventilation so after shower became very steamy so you couldn’t see well in the bathroom itself… Phone call on the morning of my 2nd day to be told that due to staff sickness they had to cancel our spa trea**ents…due to being a birthday treat this is the only reason we stayed at the hotel so we could use spa facilities & have a special day… Some staff were pleasant but others came across a bit rude, maybe due too staff shortages so therefore a bit tired but the industry you work in requires a smile & politeness at all times… Overall my stay was not a pleasant one resulting in us leaving shortly after breakfast & not wanting to stay another night…currently waiting to hear about a refund for the night we didn’t stay☹️☹️☹️

Nice hotel, great pool and health suite! Gluten free options available in the restaurant, had a gluten free burger and this fish cake! Sky sports for the football in the bar area.WiFi is good for working, good stay. Lovely grounds at the hotel

Easy check in, good facilities, staff service excellent

We stayed in a lodge which was fabulous for space and for the kitchen facilities but it could use a lick of paint. Customer service was fantastic, location is great and we loved the bar area. However negative points were arriving in the rain to find our allocated parking used by other guests which the hotel staff said they would sort out but it only got fixed when the families checked out, and due to the rule about eight year olds needing to go into the swimming pool changing rooms alone my son was exposed to two men coming out of a closed shower cubicle together, then walking round the changing rooms naked, so he skipped his shower and waited in the corridor for me and his sister as he was scared. I’d have preferred a family changing room.

Staff was very kind, amazing, beautiful people. Food was the most delicious and hotel room very clean and tidy.

The hotel was lovely rooms clean housekeeping lass lovely the only let down was the WiFi witch made our little break awful it was a no cash hotel so of course the tills were down the tv was awful the staff were stressed because the guests was moaning about taking payment for there food or drinks at times the card machine didn't work witch wasn't our fault so I was getting anxious if I was going to be able to get a meal I'm a diabetic and I didn't need the stress the whole 4 days we were there it was playing up I did feel sorry for the staff it wasn't there fault but it should of been sorted so really apart from my anxiety about the tills card machines it was ok I'm gutted as it was our first break away but I hope they have sorted it out now 😀 the room 230 was lovely 😍 food was nice in the clubhouse a little pricey spa was lush kat..

We stayed at this hotel/ Country Club and we were well impressed with its location, cleanliness and very polite and professional staff. The grounds are surrounded by a golf course and plenty of country walks. The hotel itself self was very clean and comfortable with good size rooms, very comfortable beds, shower and bath were all very clean. TV provided was also very good. We had a very delicious meal on the evening and the breakfast was also very delicious with a god choice for everyone. The facilities were included in the stay with a very good size pool, Sauna, 2 jacuzzi’s to choose from and a steam room. They have a very good gym to use and also classes available to those who wanted to participate. All round a very good choice with several beaches and count walks less than 10 mins away by car or you could stay within the grounds and enjoy the views.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The bed was very comfortable (6ft) and the staff were always very helpful. The breakfast was buffet style and perfectly acceptable. We didn't take up dinner as being inside the middle of the building maybe not the best eating environment. The club house was another option but wasn't advertised as such. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are certainly lovely walks together with other eating options close by in Exmouth, Topsham and Buddly salterton etc. Would certainly stay here again.
