This lovely traditional hotel sits on the sea front located near to the beach restaurants and town. There can be some noise from the road and the floors and bathroom extractor fans are quite noisy.
Staff were very polite and helpful. We were able to take our dog into our room and breakfast once ordered taken to our room to eat.

Ideal location if you are walking. Near all major stores and metres from the sea and pier. Cheaper rooms are at the back and overlooking bus depot, although not too noisy. TV didn't work, but I didn't use it and I reported it on check-out.

Great location , though road outside is quite a busy road Staff are lovely ! Beds comfortable fab quilt and pillows Windows only open a small amount , so rooms are too hot in May, would be far too hot in summer ! Rooms are basic and clean but in desperate need of an update. Water is lovely and hot but pressure needs to be addressed , You’d get more out of a watering can than the shower and toilet takes ages to fill up. Squeaky floor boards in corridor are a nuisance ! Corby trouser press in our room !!!!

This has had many reviews and I don’t believe the authenticity of the good ones. First impression when you walk in the door is it looks OK, staff are friendly but it really has that latter day seaside hotel feel about it. The rooms are reasonably clean, the bed totally worn out, toilet doesn’t flush properly, window are filthy, can’t control the heating and the room is too hot. From 7 in the morning there is a loud fan noise in the ceiling. To the rear is the bus company engineering workshops and more or less noisy for large part of the night. Altogether our party had rooms on all three floor floors and no rooms were without criticism. The breakfast seems to be about the best thing. But don’t get that excited, less than 5 mins away there are a lot of breakfast cafe’s. It is well over priced as well. Won’t dream of visiting again.
