Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower Tanhua Lin Atour Hotel

We've stayed at Atour hotels in many cities and always found them comfortable with good service, so Atour was the first place we thought of for our Wuhan trip. However, this time Atour was incredibly disappointing. First, I booked an Executive Twin Room. At check-in, the receptionist asked which floor I preferred, the second or fourth. I said the second, but they suggested the fourth. Upon entering the room and turning on all the lights, it was still dim and felt very stuffy. Couldn't they have made the lights brighter? The bathroom was also pitch black; even with the light on, I couldn't see my face clearly in the mirror. Second, the window was ridiculously small. Does it deserve the "Executive" label? I checked the pictures on Ctrip and realized that the curtains weren't drawn in the photos; you couldn't even see the tiny window unless you looked closely. This was the main reason for the dim lighting. Third, the receptionist said the room was behind a mountain with railway tracks, but closing the window would eliminate the noise. But do you really think even the best soundproofing can completely eliminate all sound? If you have poor sleep quality, don't book this place. Even though I'm a very good sleeper and never have trouble sleeping in a new bed, I stayed awake from 10 am until after 1 am. Fourth, at breakfast, I wanted some juice and found three juice pitchers: orange, grape, and peach. I picked up the orange pitcher, but before I could even pour it, a swarm of small flying insects flew up, startling me. Yes, sweet juice attracts insects, but why didn't other hotels have this problem with their juice? Fifth, at checkout, the front desk asked how my stay was. I didn't dare say it was terrible, so I said it was just okay. The staff just replied with an "oh." We needed to go out, and because I was pushing my elderly mother in a wheelchair, and the hotel's wheelchair ramp was very steep, I couldn't push her down by myself. Perhaps because I said the stay was just okay, no one offered to help me push her down, including the security guard standing nearby. They all just watched me push my elderly mother without moving. I had to ask, "Excuse me, could you help me?" The security guards finally came to help. I initially had a good impression of Atour, but this terrible experience has made me never stay there again.
