Overall, I was very satisfied. The ambiance in the lobby was so welcoming, and the staff were incredibly helpful, assisting with luggage and even holding umbrellas. I absolutely loved the style and facilities – it all felt so comfortable. The breakfast was also rich and varied. Even rainy weather couldn't dampen my spirits; the atmosphere inside was just fantastic!

The bedding in the room was super comfortable, and the service was excellent. My child absolutely loved it. Wuyuan is beautiful even on a rainy day, and listening to the rain in the cafe was just delightful. I really love this place and will definitely come back to stay for a few more days next time.

During our Wuyuan trip, we stumbled upon a true hidden gem of a guesthouse! Tucked away in the mountains, far from the hustle and bustle, it's not overly commercialized, and crucially, peaceful and uncrowded. As our final stop in Wuyuan, it was a truly delightful surprise. 👍🏻 Guesthouse Highlights ✔️ Wabi-sabi style with a predominantly white aesthetic – perfect for stunning photos. ✔️ Step right out to a stream! We tried the Steamed Fish with Perilla and Yang Yu Ba Ba (potato cake), and they were absolutely delicious! 😋 ✔️ At 'Zi Zai Shan Ye' (Free in the Wild) Coffee & Bar, you can grab a coffee or unwind with a cocktail. They were incredibly responsive and proactive, reaching out in advance and even offering to prepare meals for us. The place is absolutely stunning! A white-walled, grey-tiled building nestled amidst lush green mountains, it looks like a masterpiece from an ancient painting. The location is also perfect. It was super convenient whether we wanted to visit the canola fields 🌸 or head to town for a meal 🍚. The guesthouse offers so many complimentary activities. There was a barbecue in the evening 🍖 and afternoon tea ☕ during the day. If you have enough time, definitely set aside a whole day to enjoy everything the guesthouse has to offer!

What a wonderfully relaxing guesthouse! While it's tucked away in the mountains, the air quality is incredibly fresh. They offer a café and BBQ facilities, making it perfect for families with kids. Children can enjoy fishing and boating, and in the evenings, you can unwind at the café with a drink, enjoying the lovely, soothing music. It's the perfect place to simply unwind and do nothing all day long! They also kindly treated us to a complimentary afternoon tea. The front desk staff and the rest of the team were all incredibly friendly. Breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh vegetables grown right there in the mountains. You can easily order lunch and dinner on-site, which are both affordable and tasty, with a wonderfully authentic, rustic flavor. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!

This beautifully designed boutique guesthouse is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the wilderness! Nestled between mountains and water, right outside, an abandoned power station marks the spot where natural spring water flows, perfect for stream trekking. The complimentary afternoon tea, a bonus with our booking, was even served right in the stream – eating watermelon while soaking our feet in the cool water on a hot summer day was pure bliss. The guesthouse itself boasts a minimalist, all-white design, making it incredibly photogenic. Surrounded by lush greenery as far as the eye can see, it offers a truly relaxing and visually refreshing environment. It also features an on-site restaurant where you can pre-order dishes with the guesthouse manager. The food is delicious, authentically flavored, and reasonably priced – so much so that many non-staying visitors make a special trip just to eat here. Just across the road, a charming mountain cafe transforms from a coffee spot by day to a bar by night. Evenings bring open-air movies, bonfires, and opportunities for group dinners and BBQs. They've truly thought of everything to ensure a complete experience!

The room was spotless and the bedding very comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful. The surrounding area offers water activities, outdoor cinema, and campfire experiences! It's much more comfortable than staying in town; it truly feels like a secluded mountain retreat. (Bonus: the coffee shop has cats!)

I stumbled upon Mingxun Courtyard on Xiaohongshu and decided to book it. Honestly, given the price, I didn't have particularly high expectations for the hotel. However, the moment I arrived, I was utterly surprised and delighted – it truly exceeded all my expectations! The guesthouse hosts were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Every aspect, from the impeccable service to the smallest details, contributed to an exceptional overall experience. There's a charming little stream right outside the hotel, which was perfect for the kids. The atmosphere is quiet and uncrowded. The hotel even boasts its own dedicated coffee bar, and my children absolutely loved their time there. If you're ever in Wuyuan, you absolutely must stay here!

Let me start with the positives: Firstly, I was extremely satisfied with the hotel's overall service. The host proactively reached out on WeChat beforehand, providing navigation details, on-site activities, and the dining menu. They were incredibly accommodating throughout my stay, always ready to help with any request. Secondly, the hotel's surroundings were absolutely breathtaking – truly picturesque with clear mountains and water. Right outside the entrance, past the reservoir dam, a natural swimming spot has formed, which must be incredibly refreshing in summer. Lastly, the food was excellent. While the restaurant prices were a bit on the higher side, the dishes were absolutely delicious and perfectly suited my taste. It's best to reserve in advance, and meals are served right on time. Now for the cons: The room was a duplex, and the stairs were a bit steep, but these were minor inconveniences. The main issue, however, was that the toilet area had no door! If someone was in bed, they would have a direct view of you on the toilet, which was truly appalling. Even if privacy isn't a concern, what about the odor?
