Our visit didn’t start out on a good note. Back in April, when our son decided on this hotel as the one to hold rooms for his wedding, we placed a hold on the conference room to hold the rehearsal dinner. Something kept telling me to call BW to confirm the room. I called before we left on Thursday morning and much to MY SURPRISE the hotel was under new management and the conference room was being used for storage. Let me say NO ONE CALLED ME TO TELL ME WE COULDNT USE THIS ROOM. Now after a very frustrating conversation Marcia figured out a solution and it worked out perfect. Probably better then the conference room. Thank you Marcia! Now onto the room…. We had a suite, thinking this would be helpful with the wedding party and all. Under the amenities it stated there was a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. There was a full size refrigerator and that was all. It looked like they had recently removed the microwave because there was still “dirt” on the floor and rug by that area and sink. There was water coming from under the refrigerator, I ended up jut leaving a towel there. The remote for the tv was falling apart, and there was only one. (We had a bedroom, so two TVs). There were no lampshades on the lamps, the water pressure in the bathroom, especially the shower was terrible!! In order to turn on the shower the faucet almost came out of the wall to get it to come on. I know there are renovations being done, but they clearly hadn’t vacuumed our room before arrival. We were allowed to check in early, but these are normal cleaning tasks. On a positive note, the front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and apologetic. I know back in April when the kids picked this hotel, it had four star reviews. Those reviews have gone down since then. I’m pretty sure we had a large majority of the rooms for Thursday and Friday night. Im embarrassed if their rooms were like ours…. We wouldn’t stay at this location again. But will continue to stay at other BWs.

My husband and I stayed here because it is on its way to the Gilmore Museum plus we wanted to go to Max’s South Sea’s Hideaway downtown. The hotel was easy on/easy off. Super clean. Had a microwave, fridge, and coffee in our room. The continental breakfast was fantastic. It also was very clean. They had a waffle maker, oatmeal (with choice of dried cherries and walnuts), mini omelettes, sausage, fruit, bread, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice - everything. The napkins were thick like fine dining! It was $175 total for a Friday night. I thought the price was well worth it.

Lots going on here. Strange setup in the room but not bad. Staff was helpful. Machines were not stocked and the ice machines broken. Overall would probably not frequent this one unless another trip changed my mind or the convenience due to location made it worth the stay. Definitely wouldn't say it's a bad place but there was a lot of questionable activity that even the young woman behind the desk had to keep getting involved in, which she did a very good job of while remaining very pleasant.
