This boutique hotel is charming and well appointed. The room itself had a lot of character and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. We canceled a reservation at a different hotel and decided to book here after having dinner at the same hotel restaurant the week before. There were some disappointments, including having to wait about 10 minutes at the check-in desk for the employee to return, presumably, from some kind of break. It was unfortunate that there was no coverage by a teammate. Then when we went to the restaurant , we were provided with a limited Sunday menu, even though it was Saturday . The explanation was that they were shortstaffed, and were not able to prepare all of the items on the menu. I get it, everyone is dealing with staffing issues, but since the restaurant was part of the draw of why we returned, It was disappointing. Then, we had breakfast the next morning, which was one of the other major, draws after it was described as a quite hearty buffet by one of the servers in the restaurant. it was very limited, about what I expect at any mid-level motel. I will allow that it could’ve just been an off weekend due to staffing issues but I hope it gets resolved soon. There is an interesting history to the hotel and on their best day the restaurant is excellent.

I wanted so to love this historic hotel but after sweating all night, we dreaded having to spend another night here. The hot breakfast was completely cold; we were there 15 minutes after breakfast started. I booked the property for the cute little fire pit and lounge located on the roof. When I asked when the fire pit would be lit, I was told it was missing an insert so it wouldn’t be lit during our stay. It seems pretty simple to maintain promised amenities, especially in this era of practically instant deliveries. The front desk staff apologized but offered no solutions or alternatives. There was also no mention of my Choice Hotel membership. One would never know it was a Choice Hotel outside of the website. You can have the most beautiful hotel in the world but if your heating and cooling doesn’t work, your food isn’t served at a safe temperature and your advertised amenities aren’t available- the beautiful surroundings cannot be enjoyed.

For a stately older hotel, everything was clean, worked well and the sleeping accommodations were some of the most comfortable ever.
Definitely would stay here again!!

This is my second time staying at the Bolling Wilson Hotel and I love it!!! The hotel is very clean, nicely furnished and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Graze restaurant is fabulous. Great menu and excellent service.

This is a lovely small hotel that provides a welcome antidote to the usual hotel chains. We stayed here twice as it was the half way point between our home and our destination in Weirton, W. Va. Gracious, historic and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and professional. Only complaint - not really a complaint. On our 2d stay of the trip, they put us in a room with a mini-split heating unit on the wall whose door looked like it was going to fall off at any minute. We asked for a different room, and they not only accommodated us, they toom $50 off the bill. There’s a very nice bar & restaurant on site; the restaurant was pricey but nice, with reasonably good food, but the bar was outstanding, thanks to our bartender, Dani. She made PERFECT dry martinis and old fashioneds, created the hotel’s special cocktail menu as well as the restaurant’s wine list, which is real nice. If Dani is at the bar, make a stop & have a cocktail. She’s amazing!

Everything was good until it was time for Sunday morning coffee and breakfast. The coffee was an hour late and they never cooked any food for anyone and they just threw out some week old danishes. Really disappointed.
