The bad thing is that it does not have an elevator and we cannot access the wiffi, and the access doors to the terrace open fatally

This is a very clean and quiet hostal perfectly located between the old town and port area. Approximately a 7-8 minute walk to each. The arenal is further away, but can be reached by an hourly bus service or small taxi fee. The bed was very comfortable and despite me selecting an internal room, windows opened onto the courtyard and air con available. Breakfast is available if required most mornings (not Sunday) in the cafe below which is part of the hostal. A couple of supermarkets and a McDonalds within a few minutes walk. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

Simple furnishings: living room with TV, satellite TV and international TV channels (flat screen). 1 room with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 190 cm), air conditioning. 1 room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 190 cm), open-hearth fireplace and air conditioning. Kitchen (dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine) with small dining table. Bath/shower. Terrace furniture, deck chairs (3). Food was plentiful with a good variety but not hot enough. No facility for re-warming if allowed. Unfortunately the lounge was shut off due to restrictions but I feel that could of been managed better with limited seating and adequately spaced out. Pool was good but not open long enough. It was only open from 11am until 2pm. When the guard left the pool the pool was out of use. Not much use for an afternoon swim. The gardens were well kept and surroundings were tidy. Adequate smoking area. Uneven floor surface around outside of the pool where I took a terrible tumble and badly hurt my hands, foot and knee. No first aid was offered and no recording of my accident. We had to go to nearest pharmacy for a plaster. Noise at the back part of the building was hard to tolerate. Rubbish collection including bottles was around 2am!! All deliveries with engines left running at all times day and night for considerable time. A good nights sleep was not had all week.
