Old locust Homestay

We stayed for 3 nights and honestly it was the best homestay we could ask for. It's so difficult for non chinese speaking people to travel in China and the owner helped us out with so much! (Finding restaurants, talking to our tour organizers in Chinese etc) There was a terrace with tables outside the room we stayed, where it was nice to have food and drinks we got from the supermarket. The owner was super kind and prepared us with everything we need during the stay. Would definitely stay here again if there's a chance to revisit Xi'an.

We visited Xi’an on the 14th and 15th October 2025. We stayed at the Old Locust Homestay in the Beilin district. We had a lovely room and the comfortable bed was great! The Homestay way beautifully decorated! The proprietor was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. He manages everything in the Homestay himself! We had an early start one day as we were going to see the Terracotta Warriors. We had an early ish start to the day. When I asked about breakfast, the proprietor took it upon himself to go out and get us breakfast even though it stated they didn’t provide breakfast. This bowled us over! He provided local food to our surprise which was lovely! It has a beautiful roof top garden which would be lovely to relax in but unfortunately the weather had turned a bit cold for us to use it. All in all we had a lovely stay in the old wall district giving us plenty to look at around the area. We loved Xi’an and hope we can persuade you to book at this Homestay.
