The location alone makes this place worth booking -- walkable to nearly everything, which is rare and genuinely valuable The room had a few surprises compared to the listing photos, including carpet rather than the hard floors shown, and a smaller window than expected. For guests with sensitivities, worth noting ahead of time. The room ran a little dark, but the quiet of a high floor at the end of the hall more than made up for it. Bathroom is functional with standard toiletries. Would love to see better ventilation and a bidet added in a future update -- we are in Asia after all. Wi-Fi was inconsistent during my stay, which was the one real frustration. The wins were real though: guest-controlled AC (a genuine rarity in China), a comfortable bed, impressively soft towels, linen slippers, a proper tea set, and an air purifier. As an English-speaking guest I appreciated the card with key hotel information in English and the one English news channel -- small gestures that meant a lot after weeks without hearing the language. The Blue Mountain instant coffee was a welcome touch. Housekeeping leaves a daily note with who cleaned and the next day's weather -- small detail, big impression. My housekeeper was especially warm during a stretch when I wasn't feeling well. The front desk and reception staff were consistently kind throughout my stay. Solid stay with a location that's hard to beat.

Comfortable stay and flexible reception. Cici was friendly and helped us to check out. The hotel even offered us free tea break and a farewell gift.

This hotel was delightful at 2:30 they had high tea with delicious snacks tea and coffee and juice The room was beautifully appointed and they gave you a welcome goodie bag and a small gift upon departure This is where the big pagoda is

We had a wonderful stay in a Family Room which can be hard to find in China. Hotel was new and modern and in a brilliant location. Easy walk to the Bell Tower and the South Gate. The free afternoon tea and fridges of bottled water are a nice touch and the staff are very helpful and responsive. The two laundry rooms are clean with modern appliances too.

The check in and check out process was smooth. Reception staff Ms Star is very friendly. The hotel location was superb and near to Drum Tower, Muslim Quarter, Bell Tower and etc. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast choices are good. Too bad we do not have time to try their afternoon tea and late night soup.

Eastern House in Xi’an offers incredible value for money. The rooms are luxurious with plush bedding and elegant décor, yet surprisingly affordable. Staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A perfect base for exploring the city’s highlights. If you’re visiting Xi’an, book this place without hesitation.
