Sangpei Dongzhu Inn Reviews

Our stay here was lovely, with kind staff. We are Australian and our check-in was easy. However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival. The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason.

Lovely place, cosy interior and very close to Labrang Monastery, 5 mins walk but still a quiet corner. Cafes and restaurants easily accessible.

Excellent stay, lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Would recommend. Only issue is no coffee, so bring your own!

The worst hotel I had ever accommodate.

Location is next to Labrang Monastery. Friendly stuff, very nice room in Tibetian style.

This was the second time we stayed in this lovely hotel. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. The family room was perfect for us. Also the food in the restaurant is good. Location obviously is perfect, right next to Labrang monastery.

Cosy and clean room including a bathroom with shower. The breakfast is very simple - no coffee and no noodle soup.

Good location, very near the labrang monastery. Xiahe is a very small town so most restaurants are walking distance. Personally thought room looked much better in real life than the photos as it was lighter and cleaner than I expected. Breakfast was simple. Overall would stay again

Standard ******* inn, no elevator, simple breakfast, many Tibetans, good layout and hygiene, very close to Labrang Monastery, nice girl at the front desk! It is worth recommending to stay!

I didn't expect that in winter in Gannan, I would sweat even in short sleeves in the room... It felt like a sauna all night, dry and hot, I couldn't sleep. I specifically asked not to have the room too hot, but I felt like I was already 70% cooked...

It is very close to Laranglang Temple, so I chose it. The ventilation in the room was not very good and we all got high. It is best to buy an oxygen bottle. The ******* medicine foot bath in the hotel is quite good.

Bad review! The reasons are as follows: 1⃣️There was a musty smell when I entered the door. When I saw that there was a lot of mold peeling off the wall, I thought I was at some archaeological site! 2⃣️The room is not clean. There are big clumps of hair on the bed, and the dried boogers on the cabinet are waiting for me to help you remove them? 3⃣️If there is a wooden table in the bathroom, will it cause mildew? The mold cultivation was very successful! 4⃣️There is no hot water for taking a shower at ten o’clock! What does it mean if the shower head leaks and sprays water randomly? The bath towels, floor mats and quilts in the room are damp. I don’t know what’s going on! 5⃣️The compensation price is quite high. Why wait for the compensation to maintain the house? ! ! ! ⚠️In summary! With a price of nearly RMB 500, babies can have more choices!

The ******* decorations are very tasteful, the atmosphere is good, and the room is very clean
