The reference point is the Mercure Hotel, the building next to it goes up to elevator 20. The hotel staff are very nice, helping when I left my phone in the taxi. They helped contact the police and used their phones many times and are also very caring and helpful.

Hygiene: The cleaning lady who tidied our room was incredibly diligent, so I'm giving a perfect score. I wasn't feeling well, and she even helped me change the bedsheets. Facilities: The air conditioner gets very noisy on the highest setting, but it's quiet on the second setting, and the cooling is still excellent. The shower also has great water pressure. Environment: I really disliked the elevator in the hallway; it was always slow and took ages to arrive. However, the lobby was very clean and tidy. I loved that you could sit in the lobby and face the sea. Service: Whatever we asked for, we got. Nothing more to say, it was all perfectly fine. They even delivered takeout right to our room door. The room also had screen mirroring, which was thrilling for watching horror movies in bed at night! BTW: The front desk is the hotel's first impression, and a good demeanor and approachability are crucial. The guy at the front desk should really dye his hair back to black; the blonde makes him look a bit too much like a 'spirited young lad,' which slightly detracts from his approachability.

Environment: The location is super convenient, right next to the ferry terminal, facing Gulangyu Island, and near Zhongshan Road and Bashi Market. It's very easy to find places to eat downstairs. Service: The front desk lady was very enthusiastic. We brought a baby and booked a family room, and she helped us push the two beds together. She was very responsive on WeChat, answering messages promptly. Because we were in a hurry, she even helped us with laundry. Truly thoughtful service. Facilities: Towels and bath towels were all disposable. Overall, it was good. My only regret was not being able to book a satisfactory family sea view room, but my family thought it was pretty good. We stayed for three consecutive nights without changing, mainly because it was good value for money, just a little over 300 yuan. For four adults and one baby, the Xiaomi TV in the room could play cartoons for the baby, and there was no noise, so we rested very well. Getting a taxi was also very convenient, they all came right to the door.

Great location. Lots of food options around. Small side alley right next to the main road. Only 3 mins walk to Bashi and maybe 10 mins to Zhongshan Lu. No hidden stairs to worry about. There's free water, coffee, tea and ice cubes at the lobby. Sofa area and long table with chargeable ports are available at the lobby. Staff was accommodating when I requested for late check out and if I could store food in their fridge. We were on the 3rd floor. Hence, could see residential flats right across the alley from our window.

The room was quite good, very clean, and had a chic, private ambiance. The service was warm and personal. I looked at many hotels around Zhongshan Road, and most of them were typical high-end hotels, offering nothing new. Others looked impressive from the outside but were disappointing once you got in. Lobby and Public Areas: This hotel clearly has an artistic design, from the hard furnishings to the soft furnishings. You can tell a lot of thought went into it; it doesn't look cheap at all. It's very elegant and perfect for taking photos. Service: The service was excellent. They provided a complimentary double afternoon tea and desserts, essential oil eye masks, and hand cream, which was a nice touch. The hotel also offers free luggage storage and free strollers for children. Facilities: In some rooms, the table on the balcony was wobbly. I suggest they fix or replace these promptly, as it's a minor issue. Location: To the east are Zhongshan Road and the Eight Markets. To the west, just across the road, is the coastline. To get to Gulangyu Island, you can take a ferry from Dongdu Terminal and disembark at the Ferry Terminal. From there, it's just a 100-meter walk across the road to the hotel, which is super convenient. Personal Suggestions: 1. When taking a taxi, go to the intersection on the west side, not directly in front of the hotel, because cars coming from Zhongshan Road can be very slow. It's better to catch a taxi along the coastline. 2. Nearby dining options: ① Chen Jia Dessert: A 20-30 year old classic, but might not appeal to younger tastes. ② A Dai Ginger Duck: Absolutely delicious, surprisingly good. ③ Xinwu Tang Ginger Duck: I found this one just okay, though I've heard others say it's decent. ④ Yousheng Flavor Snacks: Very famous, but I honestly found it mediocre. The shrimp weren't freshly peeled; they were frozen, small preserved shrimp.
