Yehou Qi Homestay (Yaan Mengding Mountain Town Branch)

What a pleasant surprise this B&B was! The owner was incredibly welcoming. She even guided us through a tea culture experience, giving me a small basket to collect fresh leaves to make handkerchief dyes – a wonderful way to connect with nature 🍃. Breakfast was delicious and felt just like home. And to top it off, they even set off fireworks in the courtyard during Chinese New Year! 🧨

Nestled in the Mengding Mountains of Ya'an, Sichuan, two siblings with a passion for literature and art have created a guesthouse that feels like a secluded paradise, brimming with natural vitality. The name itself is poetically chosen: "Night's Rest." Interpretation is subjective. The guesthouse owners, with their simple and sincere service philosophy, ingenious design, and the unique natural scenery and excellent ecological environment of the Mengding Mountains, attract many like-minded guests, including a steady stream of international tourists. Driven by a deep affection for Ya'an, the "Rainy City," and a longing for the Mengding Mountains, I searched and discovered this dreamlike guesthouse. I was fortunate enough to stay briefly, chat with the owners, and experience a wonderfully unexpected journey, leaving me with unforgettable memories. This brief, albeit incomplete, personal experience is offered as a tribute to the guesthouse owners' dedication and craftsmanship.

A beautiful, stylish hotel on Mengding Mountain. Transportation is a bit tricky, so it's best to either bring your own car or take a taxi, as I regularly did (it's easy to hail, but drivers are often surprised; I couldn't find one in the evening from Mengding Mountain). You can buy tea, and they also prepare simple meals. I occasionally stumbled upon live karaoke, calligraphy, or musical instrument performances—the hotel is bustling with activity, and it's fascinating to watch 😁
