We stayed here for 7 nights for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The location is good for proximity to restaurants, bars and nightlife - we would recommend a rental car though if you ever want to get out of Yalikavak or do day trips. The hotel has an amazing view because it’s up a steep hill, so it’s not really walkable. It’s a 5-10 min taxi for about 100TL to get to the seaside/out for the evening. There are lots of shops nearby which are good for stocking up on snacks and drinks for your room. You’ll see these on the way over from the airport. Our sea view room was better than it looks in photos. Amazing view, pool on our doorstep (we mostly had it to ourselves, and you can also use any of the other 3 pools in the hotel. We were in Villa A, where the pool ends up in shade for most of the day. The other 3 pools were warmer so we often used those), massive bed, walk-in wardrobe and lovely toiletries. Bottled water and ice is provided for free, which is a nice touch. The staff are super attentive. Breakfast is served on the terrace. You get a spread of starters, and can choose two mains per person. Eggs, French toast, etc all delicious. Reception staff were also helpful, and offer lifts to places where possible. The restaurant is also good for lunch. The prices are similar to what we’d pay in London, but food is tasty and convenient (pastas, pizzas, salads and good cocktails). Happy hour is 4-6pm, with 50% off cold starters, sides and cocktails. The only downside, which isn’t the hotel’s fault, is the loud music from a nearby club which can be heard in the rooms until 2am. I suspect this starts around June and ends by the end of Sep? Not sure. If you are a very light sleeper (like me), it’s worth bringing some ear plugs. If not, then you’ve got nothing to worry about, as everything else is perfect. Things I wish I knew before I visited Yalikavak (we didn’t do much research before we went): - there are two marinas. The new one, with Zuma, Bagatelle, Nusret etc. this is fun and we visited a couple times. Feels a bit like Dubai, and everything is £££. Then the old marina, which is lovely and feels like ‘proper’ Turkey. We had better (and better value) meals here, staff were friendlier and more genuine, and the shops were authentic. We found it more difficult than we expected to to find a good local meal until we discovered the old marina - paşa döner was a nice quick lunch, and Arka Ristorante a good Italian dinner. - September really is considered the end of the season. We didn’t mind, but if you want a lively holiday in Bodrum where the beach clubs and restaurants are buzzing, go in July or august (probably June too, from what the locals told us). I think everything pretty much shuts down by the end of Sep. Thank you to everyone at the hotel - it was a memorable holiday for us :)

Superb luxury stay! I’m amazed about the hotel facility, the spacious rooms & highly luxury rooms, very clean (I’m very particular) and the amazing service of the hotel staff- they go above and beyond to serve you or help you with your inquiries). The hotel has only 36 rooms but you still feel in a 5 star hotel. I think it’s quite new, as everything was in perfect condition. It has direct beach access and location wise also nice to the marina (but you need a taxi or car). They made my stay so special, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Btw, I live in Dubai and have regular access to 5 star hotels. Arts Hotel has the same luxury level (if not even a better level) with the hotels in Dubai. Who ever visited Dubai, its known with the high luxury hotels.

I was delighted to meet Alexandra who truly embodies the most gracious & thoughtful hospitality spirit. She made my stay personable & went out of her way to interact with guests with the most care. She’s hands down the best part of this hotel! - Hotel Pros: Views & crystal clear water, incredible spread for breakfast comp’d for elites (very generous benefit), nice touches like wooden hangers on the beach for coverups, pristine property — everything is very new & well kept with lots of communal outdoor spaces, small hotel in terms of # of rooms/ guests (beach/pool never felt over crowded), felt very safe as a solo female (security stops all cars coming in), staff make a point to get to know you & remember your name, golf carts came fairly quickly to transport you up & down the hill, WiFi was reliable everywhere on property including the beach - Hotel Cons: Smoking everywhere which was difficult to avoid being down-wind from on the beach / at restaurants on property (even for breakfast), very high drink prices (coming from a New Yorker who also frequents Hawaii & the Caribbean), was emailed before arrival and offered a suite upgrade for €2K/night but the hotel wouldn’t grant a complimentary upgrade (titanium status & birthday stay) so I was just in the most basic room despite trying to also use NUAs/SNAs, no full length mirror in room, it is a family friendly hotel so there are some children running around (not adults only), concierge is contracted with 1 yacht company so they can’t recommend anything else tours wise I would be remiss if I didn’t also call out the A/C issues. I had confirmed with the hotel prior to my arrival that rooms would cool to 19 degrees C, but at least where the bed is positioned in my room, that area really only got to 21-22 degrees C at nighttime. The hotel didn’t really do much to solve this but they brought a stand up fan to help with air circulation. I get they were fully booked for the time period, but was disappointed because I had in writing before my arrival confirmation on the bedroom temperate which didn’t pan out, at least in the room I was in. Overall I don’t think the hotel is at all worth the €1,600+ nightly rate advertised (just for no view entry level rooms), but for half that price / if you get a deal on points it is nice! I personally wouldn’t come back as I felt as though there was an easy service recovery that could have been made for the A/C issues and no one solved that or checked back in (at first an email of mine actually went unanswered for 12+ hours and I had to track down someone from the front desk).

At *********** my friend and I booked a hotel room with a garden view and a balcony. Upon arrival at the hotel, the boy who carried our suitcases, a very friendly and helpful boy, took us to the room. The room was somewhere in a corner of the hotel opposite the cleaning ladies' linen room. The room smelled really bad of **** and rotten eggs. This room was on the ground floor, it looked like a prison as no light came in through the windows because the room was so close to the other part of the building. So there was no balcony and no view of the garden. Indicated that this was the booked room and went back to reception. When we arrived at reception, we indicated that this was very disappointing for us and that we were not going to stay in this room. Looking at the amount of money we paid to sit in a laundry room, I didn't think so. After much talking back and forth, the manager, Suleyman, arrived. This gave us two options: 2 nights in a room downstairs near the pool (nice view) and 2 nights in room 4 somewhere on the first floor or 4 nights in a room that looked like an open house as everyone had to walk past it and so on. could see inside. We were extremely disappointed that the booked room was not even available and we had to make a choice, and for so much money. We weren't going to stay in that open house for 4 nights anyway, so we only had to stay downstairs for 2 nights, repack our suitcases (time wasted), and stay another 2 nights in another room. The day we had slept for two nights and I had to pack the suitcases back, I had had enough of this hotel. It was a holiday, not a prison camp. That I won't move to another room again for that amount of money. Also wasted time that we could have spent doing fun things in Yalikavak. But no, I was sitting there wasting time packing suitcases. My friend went to the reception and asked for the money back for the next 2 nights. Then the drama started. The manager said that the amount could not be refunded to our Dutch account and that it could only be refunded to a Turkish account. Which is very strange because the money from my credit card has been deducted from the Dutch account. Of course, the manager had not hoped that we had a Turkish bank account. So in the end, after a lot of drama, the money would still be there that afternoon. The money didn't arrive until the next day: My friend got the manager's number and called him to find out where the money was. The manager threatened that my friend and I had to put everything in terms of reviews and experiences as good through ***********. Otherwise we wouldn't get the money back. He also had to see this via video calling. My friend and I wanted our money back so we did just that. We were just threatened! Finally received the money and collected it
