We didnā€™t manage to stay at this resort. The management is irresponsible. The 12KM road to the place is risky with landslide, private vehicle is not allowed to enter. We called to confirm our booking on the check-in day at 10AM, two kilometre up the hill, we were denied entry. We called the front office and then only inform of the situation. We have to park at the foothill and to find your own transport(van) to go up. Cost for parking and transport need to be bear by guest. Strangely, if the road is risky, why they still allow the van operator to function, does the guest covered by any insurance in the event of mishap. We we told by the RELA member, after 7PM they will not block anymore, thus this seem pre-arrangement with the van operator for extra income. I donā€™t condemned the opportunity, but thereā€™s multiple risks. 1) Van operator may not be a license operator, risk at your own. 2) Parking area is a public spot where vehicle at risk of break-in. The management should be responsible to the guest by informing of the situation, provide a chartered vehicle to commute to the resort. None were provided and the charges forfeited as no show. Call and confirm of details if still want to book. I have to put their management to task and may lodge case to municipal and consumer tribunal.

To the Management of Jerai Hill Resort Hotel, ************** we were very satisfied during our stay as a family there. Overall, the good service we received is just that there is a little dirt (moss) in some areas, the space in the hotel room that needs to be taken into account. The food provided is also good, but for a three-day, two-night stay, the hotel provides a similar menu for breakfast that needs improvement. As we all know the state of Kedah has many types of cuisine, delicious and interesting food. Please the hotel take seriously the preparation of food for customers because the cost that has been spent by them must be worth what is given, presented back to the customer. Thank you.

A beautiful hill station! Views from the top is just relaxing and refreshing. We stayed in the Executive room type. Panoramic view from the balcony can see till the sea coastline, and vaguely the Penang Island, depending on the condition of the clouds. The room is basic and reasonably maintained. The mattress cover and the blanket sheet had some old stains - maybe it is time to change to new sets. Shower water pressure was good and the heater worked well. Breakfast was simple and adequate, though it would be nice to have a few more varieties to choose from. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Love it!

My family and I came here for a short retreat during the recent CNY break. It was the first trip here for both my wife and I, as she was curiously interested to come up to Jerai Hill. And, in the midst of the warm weather during that period, it was a pretty good "escape" for us, even if only for one night. From noon onwards until evening, you would probably not feel much difference in the temperatures here. However, come nightfall onwards (until the following morning), and you would be able to feel and enjoy the nice and cool hilltop weather here. Top it off with a nice steamboat dinner at the hotel's restaurant, or you can even dine "al fresco" style and have your meal(s) at their outdoor cafe. Accommodation-wise, the rooms here are housed in single-storey chalet-style units, with these units being spread across the hotel's premises. Most of the rooms here are set up for twin occupancy, although there is a also a small handful of units catered for larger families or groups. From our room's balcony, we had a great view of the paddy field landscape that the state of Kedah is renowned for. All in all, it was a decent and comfortable stay for us during our trip. Although there was a fan and air-cond inside the room, the latter was not needed at all during the night, given the cool night-time temperatures here. Oh, and by the way, with the exception of a karaoke outlet here, do not expect any night-time activities here (e.g. pubs/bars). You just need to relax and enjoy a quiet retreat up here on the hill.
