Fairfield by Marriott Yangshuo

This time, for our family road trip, the priority was finding a hotel with convenient parking. My family said they were all very satisfied with our stay. It was easy to get to all the attractions, and the service was quite good. We're happy with it!

The facilities are relatively new, similar to an All Seasons hotel, but overall not as good. The location is a bit out of the way; the bustling center of Yangshuo is near West Street, and this place is a bit further. As for hygiene, it's just the level of an average budget hotel. The breakfast is very poor, even worse than an All Seasons. I might go to Yangshuo again, but I definitely won't choose this hotel. It doesn't have any Marriott vibe and is even worse than a budget hotel.

I checked in at 1 PM, but my room wasn't ready yet. The front desk asked if I wanted to store my luggage and go out, which I agreed to. When I finally checked in, they told me they'd upgraded my room and sent some fruit, which I was happy about at first. However, my room ended up being the furthest one from the elevator, and this huge hotel only has one elevator! I was exhausted. The bananas in the fruit basket also had black spots. I called the front desk, and all they kept saying was "I'm sorry, my apologies," without offering any solutions. The next day, I put out the 'make up room' sign and went out. I came back around 11 PM to find my room hadn't been cleaned. The curly-haired guy in the grey uniform at the front desk just said, "Wait a moment, I'll send someone." I waited for half an hour, and no one came. I got angry and called the front desk again. It sounded like the same guy. He asked if I wanted to switch rooms. Seriously? I was exhausted; how could I move rooms then? I was speechless. I told him no, and he just hung up. I'm so disappointed; I'll never stay here again. One-star review!

The hotel room was clean and tidy, and parking was convenient and free. There's an electric scooter rental right in the lobby, which was great for getting around. The breakfast offered a rich variety of delicious options, and they even provided complimentary fruit upon check-in, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent value for money.

Honestly, after the Chinese New Year, I took advantage of the off-peak season and booked this hotel through a group purchase. The value for money is absolutely incredible! The front desk even gave us two complimentary kids' breakfasts. There's a microwave in the mini-bar next to the front desk, which was a really thoughtful touch. We could pack up leftover food from restaurants and heat it up the next day. Plus, the hotel has EV charging stations, which is super convenient for guests driving electric cars – no need to worry about finding a place to charge outside. Overall, this stay was a great experience!

Nestled amidst mountains and rivers, simple and clear.

This hotel is conveniently located close to both Guilin Romance Park and the entrance to the Ten-Mile Gallery. It's right next to the long-distance bus station, which almost feels like an annex to the hotel. The hotel has very obvious pros and cons. The advantages are its proximity to attractions, its newness, and its affordable price. However, the soundproofing isn't great. In the mornings, I was bothered by loud music playing from across the street, which gave me a headache. The glass door at the entrance also caught my arm, which was quite painful, and the front desk staff seemed to ignore it. The hand towels weren't clean; after washing my hands, I noticed the towel had yellow stains. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but the quality is good. If I were to visit again, I'd rather pay more for a better stay.

There are power outlets and switches on both sides of the bed, making it super convenient to control all the lights in the room while lying down. The lobby lounge area is tastefully decorated, so waiting for a ride there isn't boring at all. The staff are proactive and attentive; they even offered to press the elevator button for me. Their service is truly thoughtful.
