Xiangyu French Retro Hotel (Yanji Yanbian University Water Market Store)

There were so many people during the May Day holiday, and I couldn't find a suitable room. I saw this place had decent reviews and, despite the high price, the pictures looked good, so I booked it for one night at 959. All I can say is, it was absolutely not worth it. It's basically a pretty subpar guesthouse. 1. They call it an 'art hotel,' but the decor is actually quite creepy. If you've seen horror movies, you might even find it a bit familiar. 2. Parking is in a small alley behind the hotel, which isn't very convenient. The road is narrow, making it difficult for cars to pass each other. 3. The hygiene is quite concerning. Everything looks dirty, especially the towels, which were blackened – absolutely no way I was going to use them. 4. The room is tiny. Even during the May Day holiday, a 20 sqm room with these kinds of facilities in a non-touristy city like Yanji, selling for over 900, is a total rip-off. 5. Only two people showered that day; the third person couldn't, for reasons shown in picture five. For this price, you can't even get a proper shower. The toilet and shower facilities are of very poor quality. In conclusion, if this hotel were cheaper, it might have been somewhat acceptable during the May Day holiday, but at this price, it's definitely not worth it. For over 900 in Changchun, Shenyang, or Dandong, you could stay in a much better hotel.

The room was clean and hygienic, very close to all the surrounding commercial areas, and there were many great food options nearby. On the first floor, there's free coffee and a Korean ethnic clothing experience. For extended stays, they offer room cleaning, which was a nice touch. Overall, my experience was excellent! 👍🏻

The hygiene is excellent, and the attention to detail is impressive. The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is unique and tasteful. The only thing to note is that the square dancing downstairs can be a bit noisy at night, but otherwise, there are no issues.

The room was clean, the environment was good, and there's an elevator. There's also parking available at the back. The service was excellent. It's very close to scenic spots and the city center.

We stayed here during Chinese New Year, and the festive atmosphere was fantastic! The lobby was decorated with red lanterns and Spring Festival couplets, and the background music was all joyful New Year tunes. The moment we walked in, we felt a strong sense of the holiday spirit – perfect for the Year of the Horse! In the evening, we even got to watch fireworks set off by the hotel. The decor is vintage, but the facilities are new, and the service is prompt. Our room was clean and tidy. The hotel's central location is great, not far from popular photo spots, the floating market, and the West Market. Highly recommend!
