This Hotel was comfortable, staffs are friendly enough for their job. Location is is quite convenient .Room was clean.

Stayed here for multiple times and neat clean rooms. Surrounding lot of restaurants are there. Decent buffet breakfast and supportive front desk team

This was my second stay and I enjoyed it again. This time I was able to try the breakfast offered and it is mostly Chinese options but there are some cold cereals and toast and croissants with butter and jam as well as salad and fried eggs and chicken sausages for the western items I guess. The room is very comfortable and the staff are wonderful and friendly. If you need a hotel in this area of Yantai it is highly recommended. Also the Korean restaurants and a bakery around the corner are excellent and the fast food options across the street at the Wanda shopping mall are very convenient.

We travelled from Shanghai by train, so didn't arrive at Holiday Inn, Yantai until 23:30, my wife and I were very tired and a pleasant welcome would have been appreciated, instead we got a very miserable receptionist, no smile, no greeting, we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. I understand the language barrier was going to be an issue, but the lack of information on breakfast times, facilities and general directions were poor.
During the 6 night stay, the experience improved, the day staff were more helpful, again taking language barrier in to consideration, the English is passable, but not great, they gave us a free extra breakfast so our Son could join us one morning.
Hotel itself is clean, comfortable and I'd rate it 5/5 for that.
We were checking out at 4am to catch our flight, I'd asked already if that was OK and if I had to do anything, I was told it fine, there will be somebody on reception. At 4am we found the receptionist fast asleep on a near by sofa, she didn't wake up, so we just left key card and departed.

I have stayed in this hotel chain many times in China and always had a good experience. However, this hotel in Yantai gave me a very bad feeling. The hotel's restaurant and cleaning staff were very good, but the people at the front desk seemed to have tinted eyes. I stayed in the hotel with my wife, and they were quite enthusiastic towards me, but obviously did not respect my wife.
