It's way too expensive to not have reliable wi-fi and water leaks in the bathroom. The breakfast that's billed on top of the room is overpriced given what's offered. The gym was also disappointing.
The staff is polite and friendly, the best thing about the hotel.
I won't come back because I feel like this is really not worth the money.

Overall okay stay, but:
- Food not amazing
- The shuttle that was supposed to take me to the airport never came. After 20 minutes of waiting I was reassured that she was on her way, only to finally admit that she would not come. Unprofessional behavior at reception

The rooms are clean as well as the bedding. The staff are very friendly and always available to assist. The meals are very tasty and fresh and they have variety of food to meet the needs of the guests.

I am a single woman staying in Yaoundé for the first time. The staff here are professional and friendly. I felt welcomed and safe at every moment at this hotel. The restaurant offers quality meals, the breakfast buffet is excellent. The terrace located at the front of the hotel, overlooking the street, is a very pleasant space. Located very close to the French Institute, a pleasant place to visit. Highly recommended hotel!

2 night stay at the Merina Hotel, very warm welcome at reception, the room has quality equipment and is very comfortable. The only downside is the Director who eats in the restaurant and walks past customers without saying hello or smiling and also the discussions at the bar between the servers.

This is a well run hotel and I was made to feel welcome as soon as I got near reception - Nina in particular made this a delightful stay and nothing was too much trouble for her. Rooms are well appointed to a high standard with lovely lighting and good WiFi. The carpeting in the corridors makes the place very quiet and rooms in the upper floors away away from the street. The food and restaurant menu service were excellent catering to European and some local tastes but you will pay 4 star prices. In the rooms, my only surprise was that no solid soap bars were provided. When checking out, I discovered that their credit card machine had not been working for 1 or 2 days, but when I could not get cash, they arranged for it's repair and all ended well (but it always pays to carry lots of cash in Cameroon as there are no guarantees that you can pay digitally!) I stayed 6 nights so negotiated a reduced rate, around U$125 bed and breakfast

Refurbished hotel which was recommended to me by the French Institute, which I thank. Very comfortable and pleasant standard room. Reception staff at the bar and restaurant very pleasant and available. But two big weaknesses. The breakfast is barely worthy of a two-star hotel. Chemical fruit juice, fresh bread. Toaster unusable because there is no electrical outlet on the buffet. And the biggest weakness is there. Internet which is not really high speed, which skips all the time which is annoying when you have to work. I hope that for a future stay things will be improved

I stayed for 9 days during my work in Yaoundé. It’s been renovated. It’s located in the city centre. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel. The shower water temperature is great. The water pressure was a little fracturâtes but I have a positive experience. The breakfast option was great. They have a gym but I didn’t have a chance to visit. The dinner had a good choice to stay for several days. Many dishes were excellent. The internet was often unstable but I would assume the entire country’s connection is not necessarily good all the time. I would consider to go back if I need to come back to Yaoundé.

It was clean and the staff were very friendly.
The only disappointment was that there was a party by the pool on Sunday afternoon, and loud music was playing until around 7pm, which was too noisy to get a rest.
