Such a shame. Was prepared to overlook the shabby rooms & decaying decor as the majority of staff were very friendly and helpful but when you’ve paid for a superior room you expect something better. Obviously some sort of quiz going on with someone on a microphone most of the evening which meant not only do you have the road noise to contend with but noise in the room where you couldn’t hear you’re own TV. Will not be staying here again. After a long day at work with the prospect of an early start the next day it’s just not conducive to getting rest. Guests should be informed when booking then they can decide whether or not to stay

If you’re a light sleeper don’t try this hotel.. Creeking floor boards, thin walls and noisy banging doors will keep you awake. Tired chain hotel with average rooms, dripping taps and broken shower hose. Nice location though…

Lovely room, friendly staff and ticked all the boxes for an overnight stay for work in Bath.
Lovely old building which gave a quirkiness that I prefer over a modern, purpose built hotel. High ceilings, sloping floors and beautiful wooden beams. My room had a very comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. And the staff were friendly and helpful.
Decor is a little tired and some of the food choices on the menu weren’t available on the night I stayed.

The building is lovely and the staff very friendly. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice too. Decent space in the room, with what you'd expect in the way of kettle, mirrors, etc. I enjoyed the food and drink, particularly breakfast, and they were priced appropriately. A lot more than I was expecting for the price of the room.

Staff were great and very friendly. Property is a little tired and needs some mending and painting but for a nights stay close to Bath it was excellent value.

My friends and I eat at the Cross Hands regularly. Donna & the other staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is fab. The restaurant is clean and there is a good selection of wines. The pub caters well for children and staff are knowledgeable about allergens.

We checked in and they insisted we pay before we see the room, we now know why. Dirty, unclean rooms, marked tea cups. Bathroom door did not shut nor did shower cubical, door off runners. Noisy and had a musty smell.
We nearly didnt stay but were 3 hrs away from home

It was convenient and reasonably priced, but it was very cold in the room and there was loud music playing all night
