Nice traditional beach hotel with nice spa and good food. The rooms were perfectly ok, but there was a giant walk in closet that would have been nicer if that area was used for a couch instead. When we had to change in the spa, there was no shower in the changing room, which was a bit strange. The fire alarm also went off when we were there, due to a hair dryer that had overheated, so the whole stay was up and down. In the restaurant the food was superbly good so the chef did his job, but unfortunately not the waiting staff. Had to ask for a menu after a quarter of an hour, ask to order after sitting with the menu for about 20 minutes and then they didn't clear the plates when we finished eating, but they remained on the table for a very long time until we left the table and went forward to pay because no staff came to the table.
We also asked about the history of the hotel, but none of the staff had read it and could tell us anything.

Fantastic environment and the service was great.
However, I missed warmth in the dry spaces in the Spa department. It could, for example, be heat in the copper sheet and the beds. When the bathrobes get wet, you get a little cold and want to be warm even there without having to bathe or sauna.
The dinner does not get top marks as the starter was not edible (dry carpaccio stuck to the plate) and there was a long wait for the food.
Despite the above, we are very satisfied with our stay.

Beautiful historic building, wonderful staff, clean and well-maintained rooms, pools and common areas.
Appraisal to the staff at reception, spa, restaurant.
On the negative side - a few small things could be mentioned: for example, some minor amenities in the room that are mandatory for 4-star hotels are missing here; various small quirks in the structure could be fixed easily, but apparently are no priority; breakfast and restaurant are nice and totally OK, but not particularly special (except for the amazing staff and the grandeur interior).
Absolutely recommended to non-capricious guests who can enjoy the historical soul of the building and the nice spa! The hotel is a "must-see" experience by all means!

Covid-19 meant that everything was closed in the village early but the hotel's spa was fantastic, several different saunas and the outdoor jacuzzi was very spacious and warm...at least +41 degrees and it was so relaxing.
They get my visit again and then I will try the sauna and hot tub by the river.
