A wonderful new hotel in the center of Yerevan. We were very pleased with the room and the view from the window of Mount Ararat. The bedding and mattress were top notch, allowing you to get a good night's sleep and feel great. The room includes a robe and slippers. The breakfasts are excellent and very filling. There are a huge number of top restaurants and attractions within a radius of 200 - 300 meters from the hotel. For my birthday, the Hotel brought a wonderful tiramisu dessert to my room in the morning. Definitely one of the best hotels in the center of Yerevan, for a relatively normal price tag. The reception staff is very hospitable and friendly to guests. I definitely recommend this hotel.
The only thing that marred our 4-day stay at this hotel was the following incident, which, in my subjective opinion, was caused by the incompetence of some of the staff. I hope the hotel administration will look into this case and express its competent opinion.
On November 17, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary of marriage, and it was for this purpose, and also taking into account that I had a birthday on November 15, we chose Yerevan and the Ramada hotel as one of the best.
On November 17, late at night, when we had already gone to bed, the Hotel staff brought a bottle of wine and 2 glasses with a postcard. The postcard indicated that our close friends ordered this gift from the Hotel (that is, they did not buy it in a store, but bought it in a bar or restaurant at the hotel at the cost of the hotel). Since it was late, and We had already celebrated our anniversary of marriage, We drank a sip of wine for our friends, closed the bottle and went to bed.
On November 18 we had eviction from the hotel. Since we don’t drink wine in the morning, and given that our flight was at 10 pm, We left our luggage in a special room at the Hotel and went for a walk around Yerevan. At 5 pm we returned to the hotel and picked up our luggage and decided to finish the wine given to us and remember once again the wonderful time we had in the Hotel and Yerevan. I walked up to the bar and asked the staff member for 2 wine glasses, explaining that we had a hotel bottle of wine. The bartender asked us to sit down and promised to bring 2 glasses soon. After 10 minutes, a girl from the administration came, pointing out that this bottle of wine was a gift from our friends, and not from the hotel. To my objections that this bottle of wine was bought by our friends at the Ramada Hotel at the cost of a restaurant or bar (many times higher than in the store), which includes service and the provision of at least 2 glasses (although on the evening of November 17 they brought us a bottle of wine with 2 glasses ), were not taken into account. The only thing that, as an exception, according to the hotel employee, they can do for us is give us paper cups. I won’t hide that this caused me and my wife great disappointment (it turns out it would have been more correct to hide the 2 glasses brought to our room in the evening by a hotel employee?), but that’s not all. For about 20 minutes, a Hotel employee walked around us and waited for us to finish the wine. After We got up and took our luggage to go to the taxi to the airport, a Hotel employee came up to us with a sneer and pointed out that We had forgotten our bottle of wine. My wife suggested throwing this bottle into the toilet, to which we were told with a grin that they would do it for us. Our mood was ruined for several days. Unfortunately, such behavior of some employees of one of the best Hotels in Yerevan is unacceptable, although it seemed that the authority enjoyed by your chain of Hotels around the world is a guarantee of strict compliance with the moral and ethical standards of the Hotel guests.
I repeat that my opinion is subjective. I only ask for an analysis of the incident that happened to my family, so that the same misunderstanding does not happen to other guests in the future.
