I am a travel agent reviewing Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris beach Hotel & Spa. I had the pleasure of staying here with a group of 9 ladies. The hotel rooms were beautiful, the views from the presidential suite were out of this world. The rooms were outstandingly clean, large comfy beds with the option to have duvet or blanket with the weather warming up in Cyprus. The lovely touches of a coffee machine and fruit basket were greatly received. The hotel staff were very accommodating to our large group and put us on the same floor. When checking in we were asked if we had any allergies and forms were completed to support their needs. The restaurant catered for allergies beautifully, including making a fresh gluten pizza for one of our ladies. The hotel was busy with other visitors but there was plenty of sun beds and rarely had to queue for drinks. The all inclusive drink were brilliant and there was an option to have top shelf branded alcohol is you wished. The hotel is situated on the beach which was a lovely change from sitting by the pool. The option was available to take your drinks down to the beach and relax watching the waves. There were cleaning staff on hand at all times, collecting rubbish and empty glasses. The hotel and staff were outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to my clients and I intend to visit other Leonardo hotel in the chain after this experience. 40+ family and friends from around the world joined me at this resort to celebrate a milestone birthday. Our whole party stayed here and the party was also held here. It was truly amazing, the staff here have got customer service sorted big time and go over and above to make sure their guests are happy. Too many people to mention but from Elena and Helen on reception, Tamara and Vuala at guest services, to lovely Maria at the pool towel station. Also shout out to Yiannis and Andreas. My biggest shout out goes to Panayiotis and the lovely Polyxeni, who behind the scenes planned my party with me for months and delivered big time - I will be eternal grateful to them both! The resort is friendly and welcoming, very clean and organised and the food is definitely the best I have had at an all inclusive at this level, huge variety and very fresh! The ability to also book tables at the al a carte restaurants (managed to sample 3 of 4) is an added bonus. Will definitely be recommending this resort to other friends and family planning on visiting Paphos and will be back! Thanks for an absolutely amazing stay ❤️

Cons Sun beds not very comfy Breakfast not hot enough Dinner and lunch not much variety every night but was okay. Check in horrific, one person, with one computer checking us in, took ages after a long flight and it was gone midnight by the time we got to our room. Groups after us had to wait even longer, hours for ones at the back. Room needed some maintenance, particularly bathroom, needed re-grouting and silicone as it was mouldy and coming away. Pillows flat and not very comfy. Lack of snacks on an evening, only sandwiches, I have been to some all inclusive that have a full buffet all night! Pros Staff friendly and polite Good range of drinks available in standard package, most cocktails and house spirits available, which were strong and nice. Kevin in the club/bar was brilliant Loved the club/bar, DJ taking requests until midnight. Never had to fight for sunbeds, though I think in the peak summer season it may be busier. Spa was lovely, had a great full body massage for only €70! Hawas restaurant was good, really enjoyed the food. Greek taverna was good, Carlos our waiter was very good and the food was nice. Powerful shower Comfy bed Great pool area and bar Clean pool towels daily Snack bar on -1 good, but not much variety, nice that some of it was cooked to order though. Mostly pizza, pasta, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps, salads etc. Supermarket across the road, reasonably priced Short transfer to and from airport Bus stop outside, easy to navigate routes everywhere WiFi good Hotel App was helpful and had a bus route planner on it. Private beach area Nice walk along the costal path to the harbour, took us about 50 mins leisurely stroll, though it is dark after 8pm ish. Overall we had a lovely stay and would come back if the price was right. I think 4 stars is fair but there are things that could be improved to make it a higher 4 stars.

Check in took a while as there was paperwork to complete which was a bit odd as surely Jet2 could have passed info to hotel. There were drinks available at least. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean. There was only one small wardrobe so storage was limited for such a large room so a fair amount of stuff had to stay in the cases. The bed was large and comfy but the pillows were like blocks of concrete. Please get some new pillows! The food was good although my partner didn't think there was enough variety and a lack of seafood considering we were by the sea. Drinks were good and we didn't have to wait long to served at any point in our stay. There are four restaurants on site which varied in quality. Booking them through the app or via the touch screens is a real faff. We had paid for a deluxe room and the experience co-ordinator was able to help us book in all four as priority guests. Even she found it difficult as the electronic systems do not seem to work and the hotel seem to have to rely on paperwork to get things done. None of the restaurants were full when we were there but I guess they need to stagger bookings. Of the four restaurants the Asian restaurant Egao was the stand-out and the Italian was also good. The other two (Greek Taverna and Hawas) were a good idea but the food was too similar to the all-inclusive buffet and not that well executed. Concentrate on booking Egao and Italian first, not sure the other two were worth the multiple attempts to book over two days. The area is a ***** of similar 4 and 5 star hotels. The beaches are rocky and mostly a bit disappointing. Each little bay has a watersports place so you have to contend with jet skis buzzing about. There wasn't much to see when snorkelling. The beach at the front of the hotel is not much to write home about but there are a couple of serviced sandy(ish) beaches if walk a few km in either direction. There is a snorkelling beach towards Paphos which is a marine reserve but the water was too choppy when we went. Most beaches have facilities and lifeguards. We did quite a bit of walking up and down the coast. We visited the site at Nea Paphos. The mosaics are well worth the visit. The Tombs of the Kings was not that exciting but both archaeological sites are relatively cheap to enter (＜5 euros each) so worth doing. Paphos town is pretty tatty around the edges. Plenty of shops in the centre but not much else to see. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we preferred to walk everywhere. The entertainment at the hotel was low key which suited us. Unfortunately the next door hotel has music and entertainment blaring out in a little outdoor arena which seemed empty most of the time. The Elvis act was pretty good to be fair but most of the time it was a annoyance. There is a nightclub on site with all-inclusive drinks until midnight and open till 1am. This does mean that you get drunk people wandering around the corridors until the early hours of the morning sh

Loved every minute of our 7 night stay. Currently looking to book another stay at the end of August it was that good 😎 We are in room 540 and have a fabulous sea view. Not eaten breakfast or dinner at the hotel but lunch has been fabulous with lots of variety. We don’t eat breakfast and have been eating dinner out. The restaurants at the harbour have been very good. We start our day with a 5 mile walk to the harbour and back. It’s been beautiful, we do the same in the evening. The costal path alongside the hotel is great. We cannot fault this hotel, it’s clean and In a fabulous location. Rooms are spacious and we have a beautiful view. There is absolutely nothing to dislike, hence looking to return in a few weeks to celebrate my husbands birthday. Well done to all the staff at this fabulous hotel and if you are coming here you will not be disappointed ❤️ Enjoy!!

Good holiday package hotel. Spa pool area good do with some renovations. The new suite was large and well appointed.
