ABER SHISHAN Holiday (Xidi) Village Resort

Overall, I wasn't very satisfied. I had thought the hotel was great based on the promotions, but upon arrival, I was completely disappointed. This is a tip for other guests planning to book a stay. Those looking to spend a fortune and experience the inconvenience can come and experience it: 1. There were a lot of large bugs. I arrived in early April, and it was still a bit cold, but there were already quite a few. Stink bugs and giant bees were everywhere I walked in. Every night, I had to "battle" them. It was truly terrifying and frustrating! I had to catch 3-5 bugs a day. On my first night, I asked customer service to find someone to take care of it, but they said, "You can just clean it yourself with paper. Are you scared?" Nonsense! Am I not afraid of being called? We weren't locals, so who would have seen this? Besides, isn't it the hotel's responsibility to take care of it? 2. The cleanliness was filthy. I took pictures of the wooden furniture, and it was shoddy and dirty. This was largely due to the poor quality of the wood and poor hygiene. It's impossible to clean it now. It's grimy and burred, and it scratches clothes. 3. There were no waiters, and the service was poor. I saw three people during the day, but only one at night. He was an elderly man with poor eyesight. The night I called to report the bugs, customer service said there was only one attendant, who had gone to pick up a newly arrived guest, and asked for their understanding. No one came to deal with the situation, so I handled it myself, and I've been dealing with everything since then. 4. The location is within the scenic area, but quite far from the main entrance, making taxis inconvenient. When I asked about it online, customer service said it was a ten-minute walk to the main entrance (for taxis or ride-hailing services). I thought that was the minimum, so I just made do. Upon arrival, I discovered the straight-line distance was 400 meters, or 10 minutes, but the actual walk took 20 minutes. 5. The furniture is awful. All the wooden furniture creaks, making it very noisy and inconvenient if you're sharing a room with others. 6. The garden and surrounding area aren't as beautiful as advertised, and the tea leaves are average. They look okay in photos, but up close, they're terrible.

The room was quiet, but a bit out of the way, making it a bit intimidating if staying alone. The room was large, but the layout was a bit odd. The curtains didn't even block out the light, so you could clearly see inside from outside when you turned on the lights at night, and you had to hide to change clothes. The bed was hidden in a cubicle, which was a bit stuffy. On the surface, it looked clean, but there were many unsanitary areas, with spiderwebs and small insects in some places. I recommend using some insect repellent. On our second night, the water heater malfunctioned in the middle of the night, leaving us with no hot water for showering, so we both took cold showers. For an 800-yuan room, each room only provided two small bottles of mineral water. I asked for more, but they replied that they could only give me two more. The room was in poor condition, and the light above the sink was falling off. I recommend repairing it promptly. However, the breakfast and afternoon tea were very good—simple but thoughtful.
