Toyoko Hotel is highly standardized. The room was supposed to have to window because of how cheap it was, but I got an upgrade to a regular room with street view. Part of the hotel is renovated (walls, sink, washlet) so it's pretty pleasant. Just that the toilet seat fell on me at 1st because the staff did not tell me I have to pull the entire washlet out because it does not fit the bathroom dimensions. As a clean freak a toilet seat falling on me repeatedly was a straight out nightmare. Anyway, the hotel staff was incredibly nice, and I could store my bag here until late at night, so I am thankful. It was a bit difficult to fall asleep at night because of noisy people out on the street (there were many bars around so many drunk people at night), even though I was on 6th floor. By the way the receptionist is some kinda superhuman- I saw him at all times of day and night and it very much seemed he is working 24/7. Wow.

It is close to the ghost village and right in front of the subway station. If you are using a rental car, you can use the hotel parking lot and the station parking lot for 500 yen.
