Our first room the water pressure was very low so we asked for a new room. The new room had unchanged sheets on a made bed. There was trash under the desk. The phone was behind the nightstand. When we brought up the bed looking like a made bed with hair and like a dirty person had slept in it, we were delivered sheets, pillow cases and a blanket. The comforter was not brought over. We made the bed ourselves and as instructed, left the dirty bedding outside on the sidewalk by our door. When we walked over to report it, we told them about the phone. That was never addressed. Whenever we needed anything, we walked to the office or caught a member of housekeeping while they were out and about. When I went to check out, the employee laying on the couch in the lounge told me, without getting up that he was on a break and could email me my receipt. I was said that I wanted to check my charges for accuracy before leaving. He said he just started his break and that it was a 30 minute long break. I was disappointed with this attitude and laziness, so I walked out. After a few moments, I went back in, told the employee they could restart their break and to finish checking me out. They did so without a word. I had to ask what my total was, how many days I was charged for and if there were any incidentals I needed to cover. The employee said “no”. Finished and walked off. I was not offered a receipt. There was no customary “thank you” for our patronage. I would rate their attitude as that of a petulant teenager that was told to take out the trash instead of allowing them to sit on their ass and play with their phone. We don’t have a lot of options for places to stay when visiting family in Yreka. I will not reconsider Best Western in Yreka for our next 7-10 day stay. Everyone else that worked there seemed genuinely interested in providing great customer service. There’s zero excuse for a grown “man” (adult male) to behave the way that one employee did.
