3/19-20 Stayed at Yufu-no-Sato Ayakekan. The hotel has a special car to pick you up from Yufuin Station. This is a traditional Japanese-style hotel. You can see Mt. Yufu through the window. The one-night, two-berth room is very clean. There are sanitary ware in the suite but no shower. Facilities; The open-air hot spring is quite large and very comfortable. The second meal was very exquisite. Except for being a little far away from the main street of Yufuin, everything else was very good. Highly recommended.

Not luxurious but warm. Very satisfied with breakfast and dinner. The most satisfying thing is the open-air pool. There are not many people in the afternoon, so there is no need to go to the private bath.

The staff were all friendly and the pick-up service was great. I went with my 24-month-old baby and we had no inconveniences. The view was great, the food was delicious, and I had a great time with my family.

Since it appears a lot on the blog, I did it here this time. When I first came to Fukuoka, I stayed at Musoen, and decided to stay here on this trip. First of all, it's hard to get there without a car. It's somewhere between Mt. Yufu and Yufuin haha. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to use the private bath. It's different for each hotel, but the Musouen I stayed at before had the advantage of being able to use it freely, but here you have to make a reservation over the phone to use it. The door is locked. Take the key and open it and go in. Kaiseki was just like that. The meat is what I remember the most. The colors of kaiseki are so pretty, but I don't like it.

Staying in a hot spring hotel for one night in Yufuin is really a wonderful experience, especially in Aayakekan. We will come again if we have the opportunity. Now we are worried about whether we can find a hotel with a similar experience and not a particularly high price when we go to other places in Japan. It is really difficult to go from luxury to frugality. - First of all, Yufuin is a mountainous area, with uphill and downhill slopes and luggage. It cannot be reached in ten minutes on the navigation system. However, according to my personal test, Ayakekan really calls the hotel and a business car will pick you up at the station in a few minutes! -Picture 1: Regardless of the mountain view room, the restaurant on the first floor, or the public hot spring, you can see the view of Mount Yufu, which is different in the morning, evening and noon. -Picture 2: After soaking in the hot spring, there is beer ice cream and mineral water and coffee for free in the conversation room next to the hot spring. You need ice water after soaking in the hot spring. Although the ice cream is a bit sweet and greasy, it is just right to eat after soaking in the hot spring. Japanese guests are a bit social-phobic, so although it was full on the day of check-in, there were very few people in the conversation room. -Picture 3: Side of the check-in hall. It needs to be mentioned that no matter checking in or checking out, all the staff stand in a row to greet and say goodbye. We don't speak Japanese at all, and only a few staff members speak English, which does not affect our experience at all. -Dinner in Picture 4 to Picture 8 + Breakfast in Picture 9: According to actual measurement, although dinner reservations start at 18:00 at the latest when checking in, there are three tables of guests and all of them are Japanese guests who arrive later than 18:30, and the food is served at about the same speed as us. Because there are many dishes for dinner, the kitchen also has to cook them one by one. Breakfast starts at 8:30 at the latest. Because it is relatively simple, it really has to end at nine. - Picture 10 is a private hot spring. Picture 11 is an introduction to hot springs: No photos can be taken in public hot springs. Private hot springs start at 3 p.m. and can be reserved for the afternoon and evening. In the morning, reservations can be made that morning but they close at 10 p.m. and open at 3 p.m. There are five private baths in Picture 11, the two in the lower left corner are open-air. We made an appointment at Waki, but the most popular one is Ginjou because its name means "pleasure". . . Remember to check in at the hotel and call to make a reservation in your room. Finally, on the day we checked in, almost all of the dozen or so rooms were occupied by Japanese guests, which may be related to the fact that it was a long holiday in Japan. But I still have to say it’s well worth the experience!

As soon as I arrived, I was greeted at the entrance and had a lot of luggage unloaded. A maximum of 20 groups can stay, and the meals and baths are spacious and very good. Beer, chuhai, specialty kabosu juice, and water were prepared in the refrigerator, and a draft beer server and coffee were prepared in the rest area after the bath, so I was happy that everything was free. All in all, I am very satisfied with this price.

We were blessed with clear skies and could see the magnificent view of Mt. Yufu from the dining area and our room. We were really impressed by the wonderful view. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The open-air bath was also spacious and very satisfying. We enjoyed it while drinking the round kabosu tea that is a favorite of a certain YouTuber. The breakfast was especially delicious. The area around Yufuin Station was noisy and a little disappointing compared to what we expected, but this inn was quiet and the beer ice cream was free, so it was very good value for money. Thank you for your hospitality.

The great thing about this hotel is that you can see Mt. Yufu from both the rooms and the hot springs. Mt. Yufu from the hot springs is featured in the music video for Oita Prefecture's image song, "Onsen Prefecture Oita." The video also shows people drinking free draft beer after the bath. The food is also great. Kaiseki cuisine is the norm, but each dish is beautifully presented and delicious. I was very happy that the soy sauce that came with the sashimi was not the sweet Kyushu soy sauce, but regular soy sauce. The original hot spring water sour cocktail was also delicious. If I had to say something, it would be that I don't know what brand the hair dryer in the room was, and my hair was very dry after using it. The overall experience was great, so I wish there had been at least a Panasonic or Dyson prize.

Yufu no Sato Saigakukan is a popular inn that is often featured in guidebooks and magazines. Looking at the picture of the view from the open-air bath where Mt. "The day we arrived was mostly sunny." From the window on the north side of the inn, and of course from the open-air bath, you can see the whole view of Mt. Yufu and the city of Yufuin in the basin below. I was satisfied with the superb view as expected, no, more than expected. "The view wasn't the only great thing about this inn." The moderate scale, more than adequate facilities, delicious food, and the hospitality of all the staff are all high grade, and it was a wonderful stay that was more than the price.
