Nice atmosphere

The open-air bath in the room was very spacious and comfortable. The large public bath was next to the room, but we enjoyed the open-air bath in the room, which was fed directly from the source. There was also an indoor bath, which was also hot spring water. There was a foot bath and hot spring pool on the rooftop, so I think it would be fun even if you went with a large group. Breakfast was from 8am and check-out was at 10am, so it was a bit hectic, but we were able to relax in the bath in the room. It was difficult to get Wi-Fi, but I thought it was nice not to have to use my smartphone.

The quality of the hot spring is good, and the cold barley tea provided in the large public bath is also nice. Next time I plan to stay in a room with an open-air bath.

I visited the hotel for a day trip bath. I had been interested in it for a while, and I wanted to take my father there if the bath was good. I was told to contact them in advance to check if day trip bathing was possible, so I called several times, but they didn't answer the phone... but the phone rang... So I went to the hotel directly to inquire, and they said that there were a lot of guests today and they were busy, so day trip bathing was not possible. I called several times, but they didn't answer the phone, so I told them that I came directly, and the elderly man at the front desk said that they were busy and couldn't answer the phone. The apology was also vague. There were quite a few guests checking in, so I understand that they were busy, but I was wondering why. I went back to Yugawara Station and called again, and the same elderly man answered again. I said that it would have been fine if they had answered the phone, but he insisted that he was busy and couldn't answer the phone. He also said that if you're busy, you wouldn't be able to answer the phone, and that if you're talking like this, you won't be able to answer other calls. I'm sorry for calling to complain. However, I didn't do anything that needed to be said. I just wanted to tell them that I wanted them to think about how to deal with the situation even if they were busy. There are also day trippers. I was looking forward to it, so I'm disappointed. I will never go again.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath on the 8th floor. The open-air bath in the room had plenty of slightly hot water, so I took a bath before going to bed and early in the morning. I went to the public bath, and there was also a large open-air bath, with plenty of hot water, which was very warming. As others have written, the building, including the rooms and baths, is old and has a Showa era feel. Many of the people working in the dining room were elderly, and their clothing was reminiscent of the Showa era. The meals were plentiful for both dinner and breakfast. There was a wide variety of sashimi for dinner, and the hot pot with beef and pork in order was delicious. There are many inns in Yugawara, so I thought this would be the last time I would experience the Showa atmosphere.

An old Showa-style hotel right next to the Fudotaki waterfall. It's a bit remote, so you can experience a sense of a different era. This hotel is for old people, and has no romantic atmosphere, luxury, or fashion, so it's recommended for those who don't mind the plain, retro, Showa-era, and shabby atmosphere. The hot spring is well-done and even has a foot bath, so it's recommended for those who just want to enjoy the hot springs. (Good points) Location: Near Fudotaki waterfall, you can experience the slightly secluded Yugawara. All rooms have a hot spring bath... You can enter the hot spring as many times as you like during your stay. There is a hot spring pool... I don't know because I didn't enter, but it seems to be the only one in Yugawara. You can rent swimsuits and couples can enter. Three free massage machines. There is a ping pong table... I think it's good that it's free, as many facilities charge a fee for each one. Indoors: A spacious Japanese-style room with a front room. It's a safe level. There is a coffee corner on the second floor (paid). Customer service: Good. They welcome you pleasantly. (Bad points) ・It's good that all rooms have hot springs, but the shower in the indoor bath only comes out with a trickle, which was very troublesome. I had to scoop water from the bathtub into a washbowl to wash it. It took a while for the water to heat up. The room pot was just a thermos type that only kept the water warm, so it was inconvenient that I couldn't add more water to it and boil it myself. The free Wi-Fi was only available on the first and second floors, and didn't reach the inside of the room. It's stingy and inconvenient. The washroom and bathroom in the room were not cleaned properly, and there was a lot of black mold and black dust that would have come off easily if you washed it. The area around the water should be cleaned. This time I paid about 7,100 yen for a room only, and I was there just to stay at the hot spring, so I don't know about the food. I wasn't impressed, but I was able to soak in Yugawara Onsen as much as I wanted, so I thought it was okay. There was no place to buy food in the hotel or nearby, so I recommend getting some before Yugawara Station. Also, please note that there is no microwave. There are only two towels, one large and one small (you can ask for an extra one), so if you want to use a lot of towels, I recommend bringing your own.
