Awesome experience! This was our first trip to Rome. Our hosts helped provide transportation and advice on how to minimize crowds while seeing the sites. They recommended some less known sites and local authentic restaurants. Very quiet, clean, comfortable room. Most important our hosts made us feel at home at all times. Our thanks to Ivano and Tehri.

The owner sent us several messages during the day of check-in to notify us that due to other cancellations he had to relocate us in a different room. The final room assignment was at a different address than the one listed on *******. The premises are in a very remote location that could only be accessed through a rough bumpy road. The room was in a house shared by other guests. The cooking smells coming from the shared kitchen were unbearable. The bedroom was very outdated and the sliding door bedroom lock made us feel unsafe as it could have been easily broken into. The surrounding area is beautiful, despite the pool, which looks more like a kids' paddling pool.

We stayed 4 nights in the beautiful cottage and loved every minute of it! The silence, the perfect location between olive trees but with comfortable access to Rome, the comfortable setting which allowed us to make our own breakfasts - but more than anything: the hosts who became our family! Ivano is such an amazing person, kind soul, knowledgeable, tolerant and basically will do everything he can so his guests have the perfect most comfortable experience. My kids finally understood the difference between being a tourist and a traveler - and felt lucky we were able to go to the best local restaurants and sights far away from the crowds and feel like local Italians. Ivano - I can not thank you enough for the precious memories you gave us, and we miss you already!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay with Ivano and Terhi, which was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. They are super-friendly and attentive with a sincere desire to help us make the most of our time and experience in and around Rome (including an amazing tour of Rome by night). The room we stayed in was quiet, comfortable and very clean. Ivano is a great chef and prepared fantastic meals served with fresh home-grown items. We also enjoyed socializing with other friendly guests over breakfast and when we had evening meals there. We were there for four days and used Zagarolo as a base for our day trips (Tivoli, Bracciano, Anguillara Sabazia, Palestrina, Nemi, Castel Gandolfo which worked out very well. Zagarolo itself is a charming place to visit just a few minutes away and we went there several times with new discoveries each time. At the end of our stay, we were sad to leave our new friends but hopeful to stay in touch and come back some day.

Accommodations were clean, quiet and very comfortable. The hosts were lovely - excellent meals, very hospitable with great travel advice. The proximity to Rome is perfect. We hope to be back sometime!

Siamo stati benissimo. Le stanze e il giardino sono incantevoli, il cibo ottimo (gustoso e genuino), i bambini si sono divertiti un mondo e anche noi: non sembrava di essere in una struttura bensì a casa di amici che si conoscono da sempre. Abbiamo chiacchierato e riso di gusto come non facevano da un bel po’; Ivano e sua moglie sanno accoglierti con un’umanità e un’allegria ormai più uniche che rare. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

We had a fantastic stay with Ivano and Terhi, who really helped us make the most of Rome and the area surrounding Olive Tree Hill. Their hospitality and generosity with their time can't be faulted and if you want to see a different side of Italy, this is the place for you. It was lovely getting to meet other guests over the sociable breakfasts and Ivano cooked a fantastic dinner for us all on the evening we arrived. We had a great time and their personal touch made all the difference. We all fell in love with Foxy the dog too!

The BEST 2 days in Rome. Loved our stay and got amazing recommendations and help in planning our day into Rome. Also got recommendations and directions for the surrounding towns that were gorgeous. They went out of their way to help make our time in Rome wonderful! Ivano and Tehri even met us to give a tour and gave us rides to the train station and picked us up. Will definitely recommend and be back next time I find myself in Rome :)
