This was our first time staying at the hotel and we were very pleasantly surprised with the value for money. Hotels at Zahara can be very expensive and so this was a nice change.
The location is close to the town centre and the hotel had 2 pools. Rooms were clean and quite spacious for the price paid.
We will definitely be returning!

is a little gem built in the traditional style
Friendly efficient check in by the two brothers
Great very large corner suite with a large balcony with sunbeds and table and chairs
Parking at the front or side of the hotel
Nice pool and garden area
Great location close to the amazing beach and handy enough to stroll down into town

We stayed here last September for 1 night (see previous review) and we enjoyed it so we have returned for 4 nights. Zahara itself is a sleepy old fishing town with numerous bars and restaurants and a magnificent beach. Hotel Porfirio is a very friendly, well run family owned hotel. The hotel is very nice and homely and built in a local architectural style. We had requested the same suite as last time because it was so nice, we were not disappointed. The housekeeper Carmen was very friendly and bubbly and took time out to help me with my Spanish speaking! The pool area was excellent, nice pool and lots of beds. Breakfast in the large dining room or on the patio was very good, with plenty of breads, cheese and meats, fruit and pastries etc. Service was very good. We ate in the restaurant for 2 nights and the food, drinks and service were all excellent, thanks to Maricarmen and Noelia. We did return and would recommend this great hotel.

Magnifico hotel a pie de la playa del Carmen de Zahara de los Atunes, muy bien gestionado y cuidado y con un restaurante que no parece de hotel por su calidad y buen servicio. Las instalaciones estan muy cuidaddas y el trato es excelente, notandose la mano de la gestion familiar: Candida, Antonio, Antonio y Eduardo, padres e hijos que siempre estan atentos y ofreciendo ayuda si fuera necesaria.
