Domes Aulus Zante, Autograph Collection

Zakinthos Island|2.95km from Chinese Melya
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Domes Aulus Zante, Autograph Collection, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our group of 8 friends from London, UK, gathered at this newly refurbished resort to celebrate two special birthdays, and our week-long stay was nothing short of magical. What truly elevated our stay was the outstanding service provided by the Guest Relations Supervisor. Their dedication to ensuring our experience was extraordinary went above and beyond any expectations. They personalised every moment, meticulously arranging our specific requests made in advance. From the breathtaking flowers that welcomed our birthday guests upon arrival to organising a private catamaran excursion and securing reservations for special dinners, the Guest Relations Supervisor’s attention to detail was unparalleled. The exceptional dedication and commitment of the Guest Relations Supervisor to ensuring our stay was memorable were evident not only in their meticulous attention to detail but also in their swift problem-solving skills. When we encountered issues with our room, including a broken clothes steamer and lack of warm water, they immediately stepped in to rectify the situation. Despite our initial hesitation to voice our concerns, their approachable demeanour made us feel comfortable sharing our issues. Upon informing them about the problems, they promptly arranged for us to be moved to a larger room with a delightful private terrace. This new room not only solved the water problems but also came equipped with a functional steaming iron, proving to be incredibly useful during our stay. We’re particularly grateful to the Guest Relations Supervisor for their thoughtful gesture of upgrading our accommodations, and their prompt actions ensured that our experience remained outstanding. Additionally, the thoughtfulness of the Guest Relations Supervisor extended to creating personalised souvenirs for our guests. When I inquired about gifting options, they not only provided a solution but went the extra mile by curating a beautiful bag filled with local specialties that truly captured the essence of Zante. This heartfelt touch resonated deeply with all of us, showcasing their dedication to ensuring our stay was not only comfortable but also genuinely memorable. The exceptional service and unwavering commitment of the Guest Relations Supervisor to guest satisfaction were key highlights of our experience at Domes Aulus Zante, making our celebration truly unforgettable. Their dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests’ needs showcased their exemplary professionalism. We firmly believe that the efforts of the Guest Relations Supervisor should be well recognised, especially given their exceptional performance on an international level. We are immensely grateful for their contributions and the hotel’s overall commitment to guest happiness, leaving us with fond memories of our time at the resort. Th

I have just recently returned from spending 10 days at this hotel. What can I say.... firstly this hotel is a total catfish! The photos you see here aren't legit our room didn't look like this! Secondly we waited 25 mins for the owner to come and check us in, we ended up going to the pool bar to see what to do and they said they will call her, this is unacceptable when you know you have people arriving! There is no need to reserve sunbeds as the pool is very quiet all day, we however had people reserve them and not come out for about 3 hours after, there is simply no need! Also our room was never cleaned properly, if the cleaners were even in they made the bed and that was it, the floor was never mopped/swept in the 10 days we were there. We also had ants coming into the room every night, we actually had to sweep them away from our door every night. We took the aircon however I don't believe there is a set price, we asked how much it would be for 10 nights and was told 120€ and this was including safe box (we didn't want this) so asked to take it off, then we were told it would be 90€, we told the owners we would sort it in the morning due to not having cash and would need to go to a cash machine in the morning, then they dropped it to 60€ so obviously we jumped at this. I feel like they make prices up and just charging what they want. Only thing I can say is the bar staff were absolutely lovely.

Do not stay here. My daughter and her friends went for a girl's holiday after their A Levels and loved Zante and said how beautiful it was but this accommodation proves you get what you pay for. They stayed the week that it was unbearably hot. You have to pay for air con as you do with all cheap hotels in Greece but although the staff said they air conditioning units were 'cleaned every year' this in my opinion is clearly incorrect. My daughter's friend that she was sharing with ended up in hospital overnight, on oxygen because the air conditioning was so poor that she literally could not breathe. When air conditioning units are dirty they circulate bacteria around the air and this is clearly what happened. Another one of the girls in a different room had the same sort of experience and ended up going to a different hospital unit. The staff at these hospitals both ascertained that poor air conditioning was the reason. So this is two different sources from two different places agreeing the same thing. I am sure when I write this review, the staff will write a load of garbage trying to defend their shoddy apartments like cornered rats. But having a 19 year old girl, lying on a hospital bed breathing oxygen through a mask whilst away from home is not acceptable. I appreciate it was a very hot time to go. I also appreciate this is a budget hotel. But would you want your child to go there and experience this, far from home? The girls had to tackle uncooperative staff who were rude, surely and made a bad situation worse. My daughter had to stand her ground, in floods of tears at the front desk, pleading for another, cooler room. After saying the hotel was full, after a lot of wrangling, he finally produced another room lower down and slightly cooler. But understandably her friend was too frightened to turn on the air conditioning. I am not even going to bother reading whatever clip retort the manager or owner comes up with to justify this because their behaviour is not acceptable and I very much doubt if adults had been staying there, they would have behaved in the same way. They think because kids are staying there on a budget holiday they can get away with it. But adults or young adults pay the same and would you take this risk of not being able to switch on expensive air conditioning when it boiling hot, for fear of having to wind up in a hospital bed struggling to breathe properly? Please clean up your act (literally) because someone could get seriously sick at your apartments. PS When my daughter called me and I initially asked about what the place was like she told me the sheets had 'muddy' stains on them. Lovely.
