We live in Canada, we want to check in from June 16th to 18th and don't know why it will be changed to May 16th to 18th. We contacted trip to inform us that the date was wrong and wanted to change the date, but unfortunately the hotel does not allow us to change it. Rebook on the right day and still don't cancel the wrong booking. It's too bad to make money. 👎 Can't be listed

Just a quick heads up about the bed situation. All the rooms have a super king and a single. My mum booked a twin room (as offered on the web site) . However the receptionist denied that they have any. She said "all the rooms have 1 very big bed and one small bed. I'm here as I write this . No other complaint. It's very clean. Staff very friendly. Food is lovely. Beer and wine on tap. Coffee available at the press of a button. Help yourself. Plus. Must be very familiar and comfortable with who you are sharing with. As a quick wash and freshen up, at the sink, is in the main room. Looks great. But not very practical.

All in all not a bad hotel. Well situated for the beach and easy reach of the shops, bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and food was good each meal time. The weirdest bit was the rooms with the shower and toilets so close to the beds in the room, no real privacy at all but don't let it put you off. Hotel is a little outdated but nothing too bad.

TL/DR version: Good budget all inclusive hotel with a varied selection of food and drink but nothing too fancy, comfortable bed and clean room with a couple of very small complaints, good location. Full Review... My 17 year old niece and I stayed at the Exotica for a week from 18th October. We had never been to the island before and had originally booked at the Keri Village sister hotel but it looked like it was going to be too remote for us and the negative reviews so changed to this hotel. We booked as a package through easyJet Holidays which included a free private airport transfer each way and was pretty good value for money. I was slightly worried about the mixed reviews but take these with a pinch of salt andnlike to visit with an open mind. On arrival at the hotel, we had to complete a form to check in and pay the tourist tax (about £18) before being shown to our room. ROOM We were in a basic double room on the first floor on the front entrance side which had a view of the hills. Be aware, there are no lifts if you have mobility issues so you will want to ask for a ground floor room. The rooms open with a keycard and we were given one between the 2 of us. When booking I had requested a twin room and the room was set up with a double bed and 2 twin beds. The twin beds didn't have pillows or blankets on but we decided as the double was quite big that we would both sleep in that and it was really comfortable. There was one spare blanket and pillow in the wardrobe. We had plenty of room for both of us and ample cupboard/wardrobe space, a few more hangers would have been useful. There is a safe which you have to pay for (about £17 for the week) at reception to get a key to use it, this wasn't made aware to us at check in. There was also the option to pay a deposit for a pool/beach towel but it was cheaper to buy one from supermarket (or bring your own if you have room). The room had a small fridge, kettle and cups and a hairdryer. We didn't use it but if you wanted to use the kettle to make drinks you would need to get some milk from the buffet and I can't remember if there were tea bags/coffee sachets available. The air conditioning was good. The bathroom was a wetroom with 2 sinks, toilet and 2 showerheards - one on the wall and one on the ceiling. It had a basic toiletries - hand soap and an all in one shampoo/body wash. The door was frosted glass and has gaps at the top and bottom so not the most private but not the end of the world. The drains did smell in the bathroom after using the shower and it needed more hooks/shelves to hang towels and store things as being a wetroom everything gets wet which wasn't the most pleasant when showering second. There was no mirror in the room only in the bathroom which was annoying when getting ready if the other person was in the shower or when using the hairdryer. The maid came daily and did a good job at keeping the room clean and tidy. FOOD Breakfast had a good selection including cereals, bread

Average stay unfortunately! We had our room upgraded to one of the bottom floor ones behind the pool, that was nice. The staff were sometimes pretty grumpy although I’m not surprised when I saw the same ones working 7am-11pm everyday. The food was average, poor for children. If you have a child that likes pizza and chicken nuggets expect them to have chips offered everynight. We pretty much ate salad everynight. We are out on a few nights as our child didn’t want to eat there anymore. The entertainment is shocking, only on for a few nights of the week. The other nights it’s like a ghost hotel. The entertainment offered is abit of music, abit if dancing, not really entertaining. 11pm sharp everything is closed. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the ‘*****’ has lots of restaurants and a few bars, it’s literally one *****, you could walk up and down in 20 minutes. We went to the nearby towns 2 days, there are no buses so we got a taxi. No entertainment for children at all, not even a park or a slide. None of the entertainment was child focussed, I’ll be honest i think my child was glad to get home. Felt like they turned of the WiFi at midnight, the rest of the time it was pretty slow, kept disconnecting. We won’t return.

Stayed here last week October 23 Good check in with Mary and additional door key given when requested. Let’s start with the negatives and there are lots! Superior room but the bathroom is not superior it’s just a glass partition between that and the bed. The shower leaked into the toilet and that’s not nice when you need the toilet and the floor is flooded. Also as the toilet is only separated by a piece of glass you can imagine the smells! Shower head was broken water squirted everywhere other than on your body! It even made the floor wet by the bed. For 2 nights we had to have cold showers as there was no hot water Water pressure very low No lock on the main door….felt unsafe! Bed was broken with sharp corner which scratch mine and my husbands legs. Other family member in our party stayed in an additional room not near mine which was not good his main door would not shut unless slammed because the top hinge was completely rusted and the room smelt so bad he was eventually moved after 3 days. Restaurant food very much the same not much choice had to eat out twice. One morning no coffee all machines switched off water problem apparently. So why wasn’t there a kettle and coffee granules available. No beans one morning! Waitresses very rude and moody! Cleaners very rude and moody! Bar…..what can I say…..The barman had zero charisma and was unable to smile. Drinks served in plastic cups it was like being back at school! All inclusive and plastic cups what a joke. Bar shut at 11pm and I mean 11pm they made you feel very uncomfortable that you had to leave. The bar was in the restaurant no separate sitting area if you just wanted a drink on a comfy sofa! No sofas Pool bar not open till 11am so if you wanted a drink between 10 and 11 you couldn’t get one. Bar snacks were were very poor unless you just like chips. One day the pool bar and snacks did not open because of the weather. Yes it did storm but it clear and sunny by 1pm and they refused to open it! The following day pool bar open but still no snacks apart from nasty rolls in cling film! Wasps everywhere they need to find the wasps nest!! Birds in the restaurant several at a time! Positives Lovely Kalamaki beach nice restaurants on the *****! Mary on reception very helpful when we needed her help to sort out a problem and she also helped us with a hire car which was great to see the island. Would I return to Ecotica…Definitely No

my sister and i stayed in the hotel for 5 days, an “all inclusive” experience. When we arrived, the receptionist seemed rude and we were never shown around the hotel or were given an explanation of how everything goes, that made us not want to ask or annoy the staff as most of them didn’t come off approachable. It was never mentioned to us that the tourist tax was only in cash, which luckily we had but I consider it should be said as everything is in card nowadays. When we were given the card (just one card for two people) to access our room, the receptionist just pointed where our room was and we’re told to go there. I believe anyone who has payed a certain amount of money for an all inclusive experience should at least be shown or explain how the hotel works, what kind of activities it has, what it can offer us. When we saw our room, it was dirty, stains in the sink, finger prints in the glass of shower, balcony, mirrors, etc and some stains in the towels. There is a paper where it states everything you need to know about the room and charges, which in this case the AC and fridge were “free”, our AC never worked (we reported this with the receptionist and we’re told a technician would come to fix it, never happened) and the fridge was empty, wouldn’t expect to pay for an empty fridge, not even drinkable water was accessible. The wifi is a joke, doesn’t work at all. The card to enter your room allowed the room to have power/electricity, due that we were only given one, we couldn’t leave our electronics charging which was not convenient at all. Shower gel was filled half way, we had to go down and ask for more. The water pressure has no pressure at all, no hot water and water smells and tastes disgusting, so if you want a glass of water at 3am, you’ll have to go down to the restaurant and get yourself one. The food was basic, not a lot of options, so if you’re vegan, vegetarian or have allergies, don’t expect much from here. Most dishes were repeated every day/meal and there weren’t a lot of fruit options, only banana and apples which i can eat that in my country. The times to eat are very limited, so you have to keep and eye for it otherwise, no food for you. Also, they aren’t on time when putting the food on display and take the food earlier than what it states. The bar is nothing out of this world, it opens around 12 and close at 11pm, early in my opinion. All the drinks are served in plastic cups. Activities are basically putting on flashing coloured light in the restaurant and music. There is no public transport nearby at all, so you’ll have to rent a car or pay taxi to go to central. The cleaning is mediocre, they don’t change your bedsheets and only change your towels every two days, if you have any luck. They don’t give you a “do not disturb” sign, so you have to wait for the cleaning lady to knock on you door and say “no cleaning today”. The cleaning lady was nice though. The pool is alright, if you want a towel you’ll have to pa

I sort of get why a few positive reviews but for us it did not tick many boxes. Check in fast and efficient and to be fair all the staff deserve credit. Room was disappointing to say the least, antiquated bathroom facilities, huge gaps under main. door allowing anything to limbo dance in, and we had plenty unwelcome visitors through the night. Beds were huge but rock hard which suits some but not us: Food was up and down but to be fair mostly ok. Location is excellent 2 mins from main road and 10 minutes from beach down a quiet road. Overall unfortunately won’t be returning It’s a budget hotel at a budget price no more no less.
