Casa Del Mar

I had a terrible experience staying at Casa Del Mar in Laganas, Greece. Although we came with big hope in this location, and we paid the price for what they show on their website, it was a very sad experience: Here are some of the other issues I encountered during my stay: Different jewelry and one watch were stolen from 3 out of 5 rooms during our stay, and the staff did not seem to take the matter seriously. Poor security: The fact that my jewelry was stolen from my room suggests that the security at this accommodation is inadequate. The doors could be open without key or card. Unhelpful staff: When I reported the theft to the staff, they did not seem to care or take any action to help me recover my stolen items. They sell you sea view rooms but in reality there is no such thing. Very poor breakfast with low quality products. The beach is awfully crowded and it has dirty, damaged umbrellas and sun beds. The area itself is the dirtiest place I have ever seen and this is a very big disappointment for us, as we come to Greece for many many years. So I would never recommend this location.

Best location and incredible value

I was looking forward to my stay at Casa Del Mar. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip. I gave Casa Del Mar 28 days notice. I am a person who tries to prepare and budget for my trips. Unfortunately, I made an error and didn't meet the 30 days requirement. Consequently, I was charged 50% of my booking. (Over 300 Euros) I communicated with the hotel management via email several times. "Our policy clearly indicates that guests can cancel up to 30 days before check in for a full refund of the initial deposit." I am simply sharing my experience here so others can avoid the very expensive mistake I made. Casa Del Mar will charge even with 28 days notice. Even though the hotel is now booked for those dates, please do read the fine print on cancellation policy. Of course, it does look like a great place in the pictures.
