Came to this hotel in may I don’t know why I’ve waited till now to leave a review !! We usually go to turkey or Corfu so our first time in Zante and it didn’t disappoint on arrival we had a issue with our room which the manager delt with efficiently … the room we had was spotlessly clean bins emptied beds made and mopped every day . The pool bar had a lovely chilled out vibe and a regular stop off at Sandra’s every evening into town can highly recommend . Ate at the brothers and family and also the Chinese on the left as you walk into town dodnt have one bad meal . If you looking for a base a short walk from tsilivi with friendly staff this is perfect . The breakfast was fine coffee a little weak , fresh bread tomatoes feta ect it was perfectly fine and I’m very fussy . I loved this hotel and I’d happily return and hopefully next year we will .

We weren't expecting the Petros to be luxurious, its listed as a 3 star, so we thought it would be middle of the road, fairly basic but clean - we were wrong! We were given a room at the front that overlooked a main road it was VERY busy and noisy 24/7. The shower - the rail was rusty and looked like a relic from the 1960's. The curtain served no purpose, the water ran off of it and soaked the floor. The hook that you hang the shower on was old, discoloured and way too high. The door was filthy. The wardrobe - yellowed with age, the drawers were peeling, there wasn't a matching coat hanger to be found. A dirty mark (could be blood, pooh or chocolate) on the door. The dressing table - the drawers were stained and dirty, there was a hair in the drawer and on the stool. There were cobwebs on the wall behind the main door. The curtains were awful. Breakfast was inedible. We're really not too fussy and can usually find something to eat, but when a hotel is serving orange squash as orange juice, you can imagine what the rest of the food was like. After two nights, we felt so disappointed, we'd seen an advert for a studio apartment in town so we booked it and stayed there for the remaining nine nights, it was fabulous! We didn’t inform the hotel management about out complaints, they obviously know these rooms are not fit for purpose, it’s reported on here many times. I did contact Jet2 via Twitter and spoke to a local rep, I informed her of our situation. The website states that the Petros Hotel is "a great choice for couples and families looking for a relaxing break in Zante, with a combination of traditional and modern room types. This maybe the case if you are given a room in the nice new area at the back of the hotel (not that this would improve the breakfast), it certainly wasn't our experience - it is not worthy of a 3-star rating.

When we walked in to our room, we were hit with the smell of sewage. We opened the bathroom door and it was even worse, the smell was coming from the shower drain and sink hole. We reported it to the manager and she sent up a cleaner with some bleach, which only masked over the smell. When we reported it to the Jet2 rep, she agreed it was disgusting, but as the resort was 'full', she could not move us. She gave us an email address for Jet2 customer services to make a complaint when we got home. We lodged a complaint and they replied to us 6 weeks later saying that on investigating the complaint, the hotel manager said there had been toilet roll blocking the pipes and we were entitled to no compensation. They made us feel like it was our fault, strange as the smell was there when we arrived. Also, the pool side wasn't cleaned once whilst we were there. The breakfast was not a breakfast, all in all the place was awful.

Booked a last minute holiday here. Wouldn’t be in any kind of rush to come back to this hotel. The room we got allocated was one at the front of the hotel looking onto the road. What I have now learnt is that they is a new block out the back of the hotel with modern rooms. Guessing these was all booked as we did a last min booking. The old rooms are well.. old and tired! The beds are like concrete, not comfortable at all. We had a little lizard living in our room with us the entire of our stay. We was b&b but didn’t get told any information on checking in about breakfast and the set up. (Not a problem to us because we ate out). To the left of the reception was a few tables set up for breakfast so I am assuming that’s where you eat. We did eat at the pool bar which was very overpriced and small portions. Aircon is absolutely shocking!! The bathroom was a danger. You have a shower tray with a shower curtain that doesn’t go to the floor so the floor ends up soaking and very slippery. The shower water was bubbling up from the drain in the bathroom leaving an awful smell. Watch out for the stray dogs that lay by the pool, they can be vicious if you go near them. Also if your unlucky like us and get put in one of the old rooms on the front take earplugs!! Everyone on the scooters seem to beep as they go round the corner, and across the road they is 2 cows with bells round their necks and 3 lots of cockerels that take it in turn to shout all night! Last but not least, get your alarm set for 6am to do the towel run and be prepared to watch the reserved sun beds stay empty all day long! They is also another pool round the back!

A pleasant good value for money hotel. Clean and tidy. Nice pool area with bar. Flat walk to bars or beach. Buffet breakfast was basic but adequate and had a relaxed vibe. Hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Its a great base for exploring the island. Tsilivi beach is very nice with sand and clear waters and nice tavernas. I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Hotel and rooms very clean and regular housekeeping. We stayed in the junior suites on the ground floor opposite the children's pool. Nice lawns and little patio to each suite. The air conditioning was €10 a day so I opted not to have it on but think that was a mistake as I was bitten by mosquitos despite precautions. 😅 The breakfast was a buffet style and simple but nice menu. There is plenty of coffee and tea. The main pool has a jacuzzi but it wasn't working. The poolside bar was reasonably priced and served tasty food and drinks. Smoking was allowed in the bar, so be warned if you are a non-smoker. This is a family run hotel, and it was full of regular visitors, which says a lot about the quality of the place. The hotel showed signs of wear in places. It is situated just on the outskirts of Tsilivi Town and a 15 minutes walk to many restaurants, shop, and a lovely beach. Relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms are a little dated especially the bathrooms. Cracks in the tiny shower tray and the toilet pan. Mouldy looking grout in the tiles and an awful smell off sewage. The pool was very nice and the pool bar. Could do with a bit of updating and could be very nice.

We have recently returned from a 9 day stay at Petros. Our first visit to Tsivili and Petros was the perfect base for us. A short walk into town- took us 10 mins to be in the centre of village but en route there are places to stop and have a drink if you want ( try Sandra's Bar). We were in one of the Junior Suites in a seperate block behind the main building. Lovely room and bathroom with good shower. Air Con is extra to pay for which we did not mind snd was very much needed during our stay. Safe in your room. The rooms in this block look out onto the childrens pool area ( which was beginning to look tired given it is towards the end of the season). Also lovely views of hills and green treees etc. Really lovely welcoming staff who always greeted you with a smile and a cheery Kalimera. Pool was lovely and we never struggled to get a sunbed, though the usual towel issue did occur with some guests. Great pool bar with a place to sit and drink or have bar snacks. Food lovely. Our room was cleaned daily and towels changed regularly. The lady who did this ( long dark hair) was really friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is typical of those we have experienced in Greece and had lively Greek yogurt and fresh watermelon daily. There is a toaster and usual cold meat tomatoes feta cheese, sliced cheese etc. Our only disappointment was that the orange was not fresh and sometimes the coffee was quite weak. Alot of comments we read before we came made us wonder if we had made the right choice. To be honest our experience was very different and we would not hesitate to return. The location was perfect for us and well lit road from town to Petros. The beach can be accessed either via walking into the village and walking from there or via a route from the hotel which took about 15 mins and we loved that walk. Lovely beach bars at this end of the beach too. Thank you for such a lovely stay Petros. You all work hard to deliver a welcoming fab experience for your guests.
