I had the apartment just down from the main complex which was still Letsos, I loved it, nice big studio apartment, hopefully when I book again I get 1 of those. The staff at the poolbar were amazing, very professional but also always had good banter with you. The surrounding bars were also very good. Met some lovely people over there, saw amazing sights and the sea is crystal clear and warm. Also the food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Fabulous stay at Letsos hotel, the staff are very helpful and very kind, the deluxe rooms are beautiful and clean, the swimming pool is a little cool. Small downside the breakfast was not varied enough for my taste but overall everything was very good.

No sleep at any point, loud BUT close to a very nice beach. Went on a solo trip as I noticed there was unseasonably good weather just before it turned to winter - I now wish I has chosen anywhere else! Let's start with the positives: The staff (all but 1) were lovely and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The pool was gorgeous and there was always plenty of room (big plus)! The food, although often the same, was very tasty indeed. The beach was very close by and one of the nicest I've ever been too anywhere! The negatives (why I would not recommend to anyone): Sleep, the most basic requirement for a hotel? The whole reason you pay for a room? Yes, well forget it. Between the horrible cheap 2 stroke mopeds razzing past your window till the early hours, to the maintenance man or manager banging on the door of someones room for hours on end every day and shouting till late in the night, to the paper thin walls where any half-whitted selfish family can make themselves feel as though they are in the room with you, to the most echo'y corridor in the world, leaving no footstep or voice (no matter the time) unheard in your room and the leaving of the main front door open for all of these noises to travel right to your paper-thin door. I ended up being physically sick on my last day and it wasn't from the lovely food there. In fact, I was quite perplexed! I consulted my doctor friend (and google... I know) and it turns out it was simply extreme tiredness from not sleeping, something which was the most basic expectation of my payment for the holiday?! This all sounds like it's from a moaner (which is what I usually say when I see negative reviews before travelling). Well in fact, this is from a BLIND OPTIMIST! I've never left a bad review for a holiday and I've been on trips half the price. Opened a refund case with my credit card as I certainly didn't get anywhere close to the basic level you'd expect to have paid for. Would definitely stay near Alykanas Bay again, just somewhere you get the basic necessity of sleep. (Worth knowing: Wifi is good & free. Air-con is extra?! Drinking water is only provided at breakfast and diner, there is no refill point!? The 'fancy' rooms you see are ones you have to pay extra for, you'll be in the old loud ones else - Not clearly stated which is part of the reason for the refund)

We stayed here in May for 2 weeks and had the best time ever. We went on the boat ride to see the turtles, taxi picked us up opposite the hotel. We hired a car for a day, went to banana beach.. absolutely beautiful, well worth the visit. drove all over the island, went to se the lighthouse, found a windmill along the way. We really wanted to hire out the quad bikes but ran out of time. We went to the beach a few times, there are a few other hotels local and they didn't mind us using their pools as long as we bought a drink or something to eat, one of them had a few water slides that the kids enjoyed. There is also a waterpark nearby but we went out of season so it wasn't open, I believe they're open in June throughout the summer. The pool at Letsos is absolutely amazing, the one in the picture isn't there anymore, the new pool is incredible. we stayed in the deluxe maisonette, if you stay there you have access to a private pool, my kids loved it as there was a smaller pool off the side which they could play in by themselves when we weren't feeling the midday crowds of the main pool. Our room had aircon, a safe box, fridge and kettle. We went with the half board option so only had to eat out for lunch. The food was great and plenty of options to chose from, my partner wasn't overly keen on the food but he's quite fussy, there are options for the fussy eater like pasta and chips, the greek yoghurt was incredible! Really puts the 'greek' yoghurt you get in tesco to shame lol. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. We found a lovely ice cream shop and the best gyros ever just a few minutes walk away. We didn't manage to get to Iguanas but from the pictures and everyone else's feedback it seems like its definitely worth a visit. We felt very safe walking around everywhere we went, even in the car. The only downside to our holiday was that there was no entertainment at the hotel and the park was being refurbished so the kids couldn't use that. When we where there they were doing a lot of work, I believe they were building a gym, basketball court and games room at the time. I would go back here if there were more activities for the kids, my partner and I couldn't fault it but the kids did get quite bored. A kids club would be ideal then we would be back every year! Great food, lovely staff, some of the most friendly, helpful people you could ever meet. I hope to come back at least with my partner one day if there still isn't much for the kids to do.

After reading a few particularly bad reviews, I had misgivings when I booked a budget holiday at the Letsos hotel in Alykanas. How happy was I to have nothing to worry about! From the second Yiota met us at reception we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to our room (602) and it was a standard studio (twin) with a sofa bed. Lovely, clean bathroom, basic kitchen with a kettle. I don't go on holiday to cook for myself, but the paraphernalia was there to cook a basic meal. No toasters, microwave or ovens, but for the price I paid I wouldn't have expected such. Beds were probably the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Safe in wardrobe, TV on wall and air con all available. My only one gripe is that the walls are paper thin, we had young people in the room next door and were playing music in the early hours very loudly, but they stopped after partner spoke to them. All in all a great place. Bed and breakfast and half board also available. Swim-up rooms, private rooms, family suites, something for everyone. I'd certainly go back again. Thank you Letsos Hotel for a great holiday base.

Writing this an hour before we sadly leave Alykanas...I'm a seasoned pro for going on holiday to Spain...so with a little bit of caution my wife to be said...let's try Greece...yeah sure why not and to be fair as we landed I thought oh god what have I let myself in for...bur...very smooth pick up by our transfer coach took us to The Letsos Hotel on the *****...and we was warmly greeted and shown our rooms...my heart sank because I love a bit of luxury on holiday and I want my wife to be happy too...the room was basic...some will say all you do is sleep in it ...which is true but you hang your clothes up..you shower in there and if needs be have a little siesta in there...my wife loves her tea...there was no kettle ...and no lights in the bathroom...so not good start and the view wasn't the best and the people next door was chain smokers and it felt I smoked 20 woodbine a hour...so straight down to reception..the light bulbs was put in and was given a kettle that was dangerous and set off smoke alarm...wasn't happy so...did what most people did and upgraded...200 euros...and tbh it left a bad taste in my mouth...all rooms should be of a livable comfortable standard...the upgrade is a sneaky way to shell out more money and I got air conditioning too...another 50euros.. totally pointless..didn't need it...the upgrade roon is superb with our own pool outside...its a little bit of heaven...but given the option in the way I was ...I didn't like that..very sneaky... Alykanas is fantastic...its what you need and more...food is fantastic the drink was fantastic and the weather...7th to 14th October has been beautiful...the beach is beautiful..(apart from one sour kraut telling me to turn my phone down...so he could hear the waves..but then ruined the karma by chatting loudly on his phone) other than that minor episode...it was beautiful on the beach...we did try the pool but for such a massive area everybody sat together which was suffocating if you wanted to swim...felt like again I was ruining there peace...we did go on on trip..the train ride..that was unusual..the first stop was a place that I could only describe slightly messier than my sons bedroom...very strange...very eerie...on to a church..that had magic healing water...that stank...and over the road to a little taverna for a free glass of vinegar and in my case a plate of chips...so that's a good little business plan...you pay 20 euros to go to a place that you buy a pretty basic meal from...I think it was all linked up..family business... I'm just saying as it is..miss a beautiful place and we will be back sometime..but be aware of the ways of creaming your well earned money... Saying that apart from the reception scams the staff was fantastic...lovely The hotel after the upgrade...a 10..before 3...the pool..5...our pool 10 Restaurants and food..10 Beach...10.. Would I go back to the Letsos...nah... and that opinion was shared by many we spoke to here and are now at other hotels... Would I co

It's had a lot of work done to it and it's lovely. The new pool area is big and amazing. The picture on here is out of date. Its completely different now. Well worth a stay. It is central to the resort and near the beach...if you want to leave the pool area that is. There is a range of different rooms and sweets, some with there own pool, or a jacuzzi. But we can not afford it so are on the the budget end of things. We stayed in a self catering studio, which is very basic but adequate. A few little *******, not enough room to really cook, but how much do you cook on holiday. It would be good to have a toaster as standard in the room, but you can leave a €10 deposit to get one from reception. All on all, I'm happy to stay again, and will be in June. A point to add, I left a not too nice review 12 years ago, which is rare for me. We have been seeing the work done on it over the years, so gave it another try. Thankful that we did. Oh and this time we had hot water. Happy days, roll on June. Susan Fern xx

Lovely hotel . If you want 5 star quality with a 3 star price tag look no further . Staff are welcoming . October holiday and the place is quiet which is a bonus . The room has a private pool and the main pool and bar is by far the best I’ve ever seen . We are in room 111 and it’s perfect . Point to note the bed is super comfy memory foam . Thank you Letsos , highly recommend!

We recently visited the Letsos hotel which we stayed in a room with a private pool, the room was nice however the pool area was never in the sun and neighbours and kitchen staff feed the stray cats so they would always come near us we hate cats so even having a drink outside had us on edge so if you are scared of cats I wouldn’t recommend having a room on the bottom floors as well as it being very loud on nighttime’s when people are coming back to their rooms. When you arrive I would definitely Check your lock on your door as when we arrived it didn’t lock for the first 2 days. Once we mentioned this they changed the battery and it was fine. We were half board, breakfast choices had an okay variety as it served bacon sausages eggs etc everyday. They also served pancakes or croissants some days also. However the evening meal was very disappointing as we went to try it 2 nights in a row and the options were very limited with it being mainly plain spaghetti or salads. Onto the pool bar located in the centre of the main pool, we thought this was lovely. Especially to sit around at night as the view was lush. All staff were friendly also. On another note, About our holiday activity We booked the turtle spotting boat trip through jet 2 which we were very disappointed in. There was only 1 turtle which when it’s pointed out everyone pushes in front of you to try see it. The boat then stops at 2 swimming locations for around 40 minutes each time which personally we thought was too long and a bit of a waste of an afternoon. If you are only going for the turtles I wouldn’t recommend
