Shellona Rooms & Apartments

This is the second time we stayed here. Amazing hospitality and modern room design! The room was getting cleaned daily and you have every equipment you may need. Also very close to the beach where you will have free sunbeds and umbrella. We'll definitely visit again!

I booked direct with Shellona after reading many reviews and have to say the photos lived up to expectation. I kept in contact with Shellona by e-mail and was greeted upon arrival by helpful and friendly staff and all the necessary details explained. I went for the deluxe room with sea view, everything was kept spotless and cleaned daily with frequent changes of bed linen and towels. There was a decent fridge, kettle, toaster and the owners had left complimentary wine, water and soft drinks. The bedroom had air conditioning with a remote control, which was used to its full capacity. Also TV with remote which I managed to get Netflix on. The shower was fantastic, no loss of pressure and had a combination of rainfall and normal shower head. There were no cold showers and had hot water all the time. As their photos show there is a hanging rail (may need a few more hangers) with two drawers underneath and storage for shoes/flip flops. Also a useful pull out make-up mirror in the bedroom. There is a small safe in the room which had keys to open and close, the staff make you aware "do not lose the key" as it is very difficult to get into if this gets lost. I booked bed and breakfast and this is served at Sanpiero Restaurant - literally steps from the rooms. Couldn't fault the service or food, breakfast was served from 8.00 until 11.00 with a range of options and had a meal their in the evening as well. Everything was great I couldn't fault the staff, rooms and outside areas were kept spotless (which is hard being right on the beach and everyone walking sand everywhere). Would highly recommend a stay, if you want a place with some luxury and to be near the bars/night life/restaurants but far enough away to get some sleep and have a rest and chill out.

A slight disappointment... Unfortunately the photos don't quite do it justice. It was especially sad to see the view from the window. When you book a room with a sea view, you expect a sea, not trees and wires. The room is clean and there are a lot of things provided, such as ironing board, safe, toaster. But for example there were no basic things like shampoo, only 4 shower gels. Also we had no wifi. The biggest drawback for us was the breakfast. Lots of pastries which are really tasty but very small selection of everything else. If you like a non-sweet breakfast, you have almost nothing to eat. Sauces and dressings are still only sweet as well. Eggs are made on request. On the last day my wife asked for an omelette with bacon and vegetables. After a quite long wait (as usual) she got an omelette with a huge amount of mushrooms, which she is allergic to. There are sun beds in the restaurant available for hotel guests, but only 5 sets. This number is ridiculous considering the number of apartments. On the last day we needed to spend time on the beach before the plane and of course all the sun beds were taken. We asked for more to be brought out because we knew they were available. But we were told it was not possible until 13:30. The reason is unknown and it was very sad. However, the hotel manager is very friendly and nice. Always on call by WhatsApp and ready to help. Thank you to him for that. Location is nice. Very close to the beach and Laganas centre.

Shellona rooms and apartments is a lovely oasis in the heart of Laganas. The rooms are located at the edge of Laganas beach and away from the *****. The garden view room was quaint and perfect for a few nights stay. The best aspect of the room was the bed, which was pure luxury, very spacious and comfortable! The breakfast was also of high quality and had great variety. The area became quite noisy after midnight from various house parties which can be expected given the location. However, the nights would frequently be disrupted by noises which sounded like old water pipes chirping. There was also very limited transport if you don’t choose to rent your own vehicle. Taxi service is the main mode of transport around the area, which was both expensive and unreliable.

Everything about Shellona was perfection! Great location, great communication, and perfect stay.

It was best holiday ever! Very good location close to the beach and everything you need, shops and restaurants 2 minutes to go! To the airport 10 min. Everything well organized. Clientoriented and very helpful manager, solving all the problems in a sec. For my birthday the room was upgrated to sea view room. It was the best gift. Thanks a lot for your host! It was very enjoyable stay with unforgetable memories.

Nikos is very kind! The place schedules your check in since there isn’t a 24hr desk. Shellona is affiliated with SanPiero so you can layout on the beach in the chairs in front of the restaurant. Drinks and food service on the beach! Discount on food between 6-8pm. Breakfast included and Waterfront eating 👌 The room and property have great decor and easy access to the beach. Cameo Island is a quick walk away. Also stores close by for groceries! Know that the other guests may be young and come home late talking loud and wake you up. Laganas is known for the partying 😯

Our stay at Shellona was wonderful and we would definetley stay again. The room was clean and spacious (and air conditioned!) and the breakfast included was wonderful with many options. It is basically on the beach and there is a market right near by. It was very quiet and away from the traditional Laganas busy spaces but close enough to walk. Was also great walking distance to Cameo island and had many resturaunt options nearby. We opted for the resturaunt breakfast was offered in many nights and the staff were all so friendly and we were sad to leave. Meeting Nic was awesome and he was so helpful with any questions we had.
