Acapulco Marinos Apartments- Adults Only

Stayed at the acapulco for a week in June with 2 mates. The rooms and pool area are all fine, rooms get cleaned every day and air con nice and cold. Bathroom had a slight drainage issue and shower takes a while to warm up but I think that's just how the water is round there. Hotel is round the corner from the top end of the Laganas ***** but good location to get anywhere on the island from. What makes this hotel is the staff. As soon as you arrive you get a warm welcome along with a free shot. They encourage all the groups to make friends and everyone ends up drinking together. They ring a bell to get everyone over for free shots and this happens all day! Only issue with the bar is drinks prices are a bit high for a budget hotel, but the free shots kind of make up for it. Many thanks to Marinos, Nancy and the family for a fantastic holiday! I'm still recovering from it now!

DO NOT take any notice of the reviews left as excellent and good. Just finished our girls holiday to this apartments. We weren’t expecting much but we got the very minimal. Rooms are nothing like the photos, they are very old and dated. We didn’t even have a teaspoon in the room. The lock on the front door hardly worked. You were there a minute or so trying to open and lock it. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor with a terrace. No lift so had to carry suitcases up the stairs. Great but when you want to sit out on a night it’s not good in the pitch black. There was a light that was flickering, we asked the staff if this could be fixed the day we got there. And was told everyday “it will be tomorrow” it still never got done. We did get offered to move rooms but they didn’t have anymore two bedroom apartments available and only studios. You aren’t allowed to have any snacks/drinks around the pool unless bought from the pool bar. Which I think is abit ridiculous considering you’re on a self catering holiday. The thing I’m most annoyed about is the fact you get looked at sheepishly if you don’t want to drink alcohol or you refuse there “free shots” the free shots are vile. All the staff care about is you spending a fortune in there bar. One toilet roll at a time, this isn’t good between 4 girls. We tried so much to avoid the bar staff as we felt really pushed into spending money there. Honestly I could say so much but I won’t be returning here. Just spend a little more as there are so many more nice apartments/hotels! Oh and one more thing. The first night my bed was absolutely covered in these huge ants soon as I pulled the sheet back!!

spacious rooms and lovely people who run acapulco make the experience wonderful. Had an amazing time there, would love to go back again. It's close to the ***** and beach however the pool there is lovely with floats provided. Food there is delicious and available most of the day Only negative is the frying pan wasn't non stick and I had no cleaning utensil (but forgot to ask for some so maybe they provide them upon request) Would definitely recommend this place

We turned up on a girls holiday and was disappointed with facilities. The apartments are family run and staff very welcoming on arrival, however we quickly realised these apartments were different from pictures advertised. We were given a room on the ground floor that looked right out onto the restaurant and bar meaning other guests/staff could also look into as well. We had little to no privacy unless we kept the curtains shut the whole time. We thought we were going to be given a room with a balcony however our balcony looked out over the back of the apartments and the only view we had was of the washing line they used to dry bedding and towels. Furthermore, there was no chairs provided and lack of amenities. The room itself was satisfactory, bedroom and linen clean however bathroom was very poor. The shower didn't get warm and the whole bathroom including the floor and the sink felt unclean. Furthermore, when we paid for this holiday it said that breakfast was included however when we turned up they said this was not the case and now has been changed to 'self catering'. Can't fault the staff they were very friendly, always offered free shots throughout the day and night and apartments in good location not far from the *****. Overall, the room and facilities let this holiday down due to not what being advertised from pictures. However for girls/lads holidays who are just there to party these apartments are satisfactory.

The staff make this hotel amazing - thank you Marinos and family for having us, we had such a good time! Such a lovely and friendly family run hotel/apartments. Aircon was free, and they had safety deposits in reception which were free to use as well. We emailed the day before our stay to request an upstairs room so that we had a balcony; and this was accommodated , thank you! Hotel food was good and at decent prices. Drinks/cocktails were a little bit steeper, but there was a constant supply of free shots, all day and all night! Room was pretty clean and comfortable. We stayed for 6 nights and housekeeping came everyday bar 1. Towels provided were only replaced once however. Also, our shower had a mind of its own, boiling hot then freezing cold. The hotel also helped us to book a boat trip, where we saw lots of turtles, the caves, went swimming, went to turtle island. Also, they offered to book our transfer home, which was very kind but we had this included in our package. Perfect location for the ***** - just a 5 minute walk away, and you can’t hear it. The crowds at this hotel were a little noisy, including hen dos and lads holidays, which was expected - but maybe look elsewhere if you want to relax more. Cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone coming to laganas. thank you again marinos and family.

Unreal week away for our lads holiday! Hotel staff are the nicest I’ve ever met… Hotel and rooms are kept tidy as well and cleaned throughout the week. More you interact with the staff, the better your week will be. Just all round good vibes at this place, 100% recommend to anyone thinking of going away for a lads or girls hol. Let’s not forget the free shots 😉
