Hotel Villa Verde Congress & Spa

If we value peace and quiet, Hotel Villa Verde is a good choice. It is located off the beaten path, next to the forest, a few km from the city (access is not a problem). Rooms clean, well-kept. The view of the forest from the window made our stay more pleasant. The room's equipment included a kettle and a tea set. This is a nice change - most hotels limit themselves to bottles of water (explaining the risk of fire, but in reality it is about saving money). However, I missed a bathtub in the bathroom. It would be more useful than, for example, a large flat-screen TV, which you don't have time to watch anyway. For hotel standards, I consider this a big minus. The swimming pool compensates for this lack to some extent, but it is not the same. During the stay, integration was organized, i.e. a night party with loud music. There was noise in the corridor, but not in the room. If possible, book a room in the other part of the hotel (not the one with the reception). The meals are OK. I have no objections, but they also don't blow me away. When it comes to desserts, we can eat delicious, fresh fruitcake. For each meal you can choose from tea (various types), coffee and drinks. Available to guests are, among others: swimming pool (or even 2), SPA, billiards table, bowling alley and tennis courts (some of these attractions are paid). The Jana Brewery is located next to the hotel. Beer has a distinctive taste that is missing from mass-produced beer. Organized groups have the opportunity to visit the brewery and taste drinks.

This was the worst 4 star hotel I have ever experienced in my life. The first day started well, we were able to check in early and were delighted that everything went so well. But then the big surprise: on day 2 there was no water, a pipe burst and no one could tell us how long we would be without water. Breakfast was an absolute disaster, little choice. Dinner was even worse and never worth the money. When the weather is not great there is not really anything to do apart from the swimming pool.

Unfortunately, the service here is worse and spoils the entire charm of the hotel. Ladies at the reception, without smiling, treating the guest from above, despite the snow up to the knees, there is no sign of willingness to open the ski slope, despite the announcement on the day of booking that the slope is ready and everything depends on the weather. It has been snowing for several days, temperature 0 +/-1. A nice attraction for kids, which is supposed to attract guests and then help them maneuver and see if they can do it tomorrow and go to another slope 10-15 km away.

I'm very sorry but it doesn't deserve more than 2*. The food was so-so, unfortunately it was dirty everywhere. Pools full of sand, a plaster on the edge of the pool for several days and a dead moth in the corridor. Bathrobes with holes. When it comes to following Covid rules, no one cares at all. Starting from the reception, hardly any employees wear masks, and the ladies in the lunch room have them under their noses, the guests also forget about them and no one pays attention to anything. Definitely worse compared to last year.

If we are looking for a place to spend 5 intensive days with our family, this is the perfect place. The hotel welcomed us in the best way possible. Spacious rooms and very well equipped. No technical problems or glitches. The hotel has enough attractions for its standard. Indoor swimming pools (outdoor in summer), slides, sauna area and SPA with very nice trea**ents. Bowling, billiards, animations, and a playroom are already a common norm, but it is worth mentioning that they are there. We were there during the winter break and now the most important thing is. The hotel has its own small slope, perfect for the youngest to start their ski adventure, and adults can also refresh and improve their skills. The team of instructors from GIT-ART are great people, full of smiles and enthusiasm. They are in constant cooperation with hotlel, which only increases its values. We would like to thank Miśek for great lessons (my daughter already mentions them 😉), Monika who has a wonderful approach to children (and not only them 😁), she is very patient and always smiling. I highly recommend staying at Villa Verde, it was a very good choice.

A 4-star hotel, but rather on the Egyptian scale. In Europe it barely gets 3 stars. By name, it is supposed to be for families with children, conferences and social gatherings, and I think too many people are being held at the same time, that's why it's all so bland. I stayed at the hotel with my wife and child, which is why I rate this facility in this respect. The Superior Suite room ordered, as described, was large and spacious with a separate living area and bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower and a bathtub (which seemed to be a big plus). But unfortunately there are a few buts... There were a lot of shortcomings and faults in the room. The sliding doors between the living area and the bedroom were falling off their guides, which sometimes required some effort to open them - after recognizing the problem, we knew how to deal with them and managed to avoid this problem. The TV in the room is connected to terrestrial TV, so the selection of channels (especially for children) is small, and the Internet in the hotel is of such a poor standard that an attempt to turn on the YouTube application on the TV or an attempt to send an image from the phone to the TV ended with the TV hanging and restarting, and great dissatisfaction. child. In the bathroom, the door in the shower cabin was damaged and did not close, so the bathroom was flooded with water after a shower. The drains in the bathroom were clogged, which made it difficult to use the sink or shower - I unblocked the shower myself, and the rest was not that bothersome during the 3 days of my stay. And the best thing - room cleaning on request. The hotel explains the COVID pandemic but I have visited several hotels over the last year and this is the first time I have encountered something like this. The result was that every day we had to ask at the reception for someone to come and at least empty the trash bin (which, as every parent of a two-year-old knows, fills up quickly), not to mention changing the towels or tidying up the room. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, asking for garbage to be taken away is weak, to say the least. Meals in the hotel are a real topic. For breakfast, there was an interesting warm buffet - there were always scrambled eggs, several types of sausages and sausages, toast and pancakes, and a wide selection of cold buffets - numerous cold cuts, yellow cheese, white cheese, eggs and vegetables. Tasty, properly, without fireworks. In such a hotel standard, I missed freshly prepared omelets or pancakes, or any fruit for breakfast. However, dinners are a disaster. The taste of the dishes is still bearable, but their choice was a mistake. For 3 days it looked the same every time - there was a choice of 2 meat dishes, one fish, fries, potatoes and two types of salads. But the finesse of these dishes was highly questionable - for example, meatloaf and devolay or Swiss cutlet (with cheese) and fried chicken fillet. For a child-friendly hotel, the set for children is poor. The pool is not very big, but you can relax in it. Several different massage jets, a paddling pool with a mushroom for the youngest, a slide.
