Hotel Romantica

This is the coziest hotel we have ever stayed at. The service was unmatched, and we are forever grateful to have met the kindest hosts ever. The location is excellent. Bonus points for the sweetest puppy!! 🥹 I will definitely recommend this hotel

Staying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for. The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences. I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

View from Hotel is good, do note that you cannot see Matterhorn from Hotel, this is not a big problem. The viewpoint is about 5-10 minutes from the hotel. You can see sunrise Matterhorn from a very good spot nearby the hotel. Room is Big, a lot spaces to put items. Front Desk is super helpful and excellent. Location is close to train station about 5-10 minutes walk, however need to carry luggages about 20 staircases up. Breakfast is super nice. Room is super clean. Overall 5/5 for me.

We had a wonderful time ! We stayed in the shepherd huts and it was so cosy and just what we wanted . Thor and Michelle were so kind and made the experience so personal . We highly recommend it ! Sally and Matthew -UK x

The Romántica is a super friendly comfortable hotel. Rooms are fantastic and the breakfast is full and varied. Michelle, the owner is on hand to ensure you have everything you want to enjoy the hotel and your stay in Zermatt. Thor is very knowledgeable about the ski areas and walks and is on hand at all times to ensure you have all the information you need. We were a group of six and we were all very impressed with our stay.

I loved this hotel, beautiful traditional old world Zermatt hotel with lovely owners, had a balcony room, compact but very well equipped with a modern en-suite. Breakfast was freshly made, fabulous, quick service. It’s a very short walk up an easy hill to the front door from the Main Street. Thor was really helpful with great ski guidance on where to go based on the weather and restaurant recommendations Would thoroughly recommend

The room was furnished in a lovely way, clean, cozy, with the perfect view of zermatt. All the staff are kind and welcoming.

This Hotel is highly recommend. From the moment we arrived and received a warm welcome from Michelle! She was so kind and gave us lots of advice about how to enjoy Zermatt and the Matterhorn Alps mountain. The place is unique, beautiful decorative! Our room was cozy, comfortable and it had a balcony with mountain view! Michelle’s friend Greig went a way beyond to please us and provide a delicious breakfast! They have a Brazilian coffee 😋The list goes on and on! So many great things about this place! Hope to come back there someday! 🇨🇭🙌🐕
