The hotel has a strategic location. It is very convenient to take a taxi and visit the shopping mall. Yangshe Old Street is nearby. The pretty lady at the front desk was very considerate. She upgraded the room type for free and gave the children breakfast coupons. The room was very comfortable to stay in. The soundproofing was good. The bedside shelf was so convenient. The large disc could hold many small items. The breakfast is also quite rich. The family is quite satisfied with everything and thinks it is very cost-effective! A good hotel for a business trip to Zhangjigang.
The breakfast has a good standard. Fresh fruits, Chinese noodles, eggs to customers choice and many more is offered. A small gym let you train a bit (could be bigger!). The restaurant is opened till 10:30pm and provides some tasty snacks when the work day lasts a bit longer and the nearby restaurants in the shopping mall are already closed. The Starbucks in the mall opens at 06:30 and is just a 7 minutes walk away.

For those who don't dare to travel during the Golden Week, it is definitely a wise decision to choose the small city of Zhangjiagang this time. There is no traffic jam and no large passenger flow. The hotel where we stayed at night is very nice inside and outside. Xiaoxin, a hotel employee, helped us reserve a room early and informed us of the route, which was very considerate. Because I am a gold member of InterContinental, I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdong when passing through Zhangjiagang during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. Overall, I was very satisfied. The day of check-in was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the location was not close to tourist attractions, so there were not many guests that night. The car could be parked in the inner courtyard behind the hotel. The space was very empty. It would be better if it could be equipped with charging piles (I took a tram). The hotel's service level has maintained the high standards of the Intercontinental Group. Children's toiletries and evening restaurant snack experience coupons are provided to the children when they check in. In addition, the lobby is also equipped with toys and chess and cards that children like, and the front desk also provides fruits before leaving. Overall, It is said that it is the most satisfactory among the many Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed at. I will choose it again next time I pass by.

The noodle stalls include fried fish and braised meat, and the cold dishes include beef and jellyfish. Although it is the Spring Festival, since Zhangjiagang is not a popular city, the hotel does not increase the price. There is welcome fruit every day, 2 bottles of drinks in the small refrigerator are free, and 2 bottles of homemade yogurt are given as a gift on the day of check-out.
