The accommodation was in a great location and the bed was very comfortable. There was a slight odor in the bathroom and the toilet leaked a little. The washing machine is in a shared room and you can hang your laundry on the balcony, but if it rains—as it did during our stay—the clothes get wet. Since we were only there for two nights, we had to take our laundry to a laundromat to have it dried, which turned out to be far away and expensive. The Wi-Fi was very slow.

The room itself was acceptable, but the bathroom and chair were old and not very clean. The drainage in the bathroom didn’t function properly, and the room wasn’t serviced after our first night—no towel change and the rubbish wasn’t taken out. Compared with the other accommodation we stayed in across China, this was disappointing. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again if I come back to Zhangjiajie.

The room was incredibly dirty. When we entered, we could even see the previous occupant's trash. Since it's a homestay, there are people running around and cooking all day and night upstairs, so we couldn't sleep. This is the most cost-effective hotel in Zhangjiajie, just over 100. The owner upgraded our room with the same pillows as the Atour Hotel, making it a truly comfortable sleep. Wulingyuan is also easily accessible from the hotel, so it's a great place to catch a bus downstairs. We arrived in the early morning, and they even arranged a car to pick us up. The fare was reasonable, just like Didi. The Tianmen Mountain Cableway is less than 10 minutes away. It was also very convenient to go to the 72 Wonders Tower for a show and some shopping in the evening. The owner booked all the tickets for us in advance, saving us a lot of trouble.
