Great location just next to the East Gate. Loved the service provided. Transport arrangements from Zhongshan west station was easily arranged by the inn via Wechat. Lovely quaint room with bright lights, good for reading. Very near Dailong bridge.
All in all, a great place to stay in Huangyao ancient town. Highly recommended.

The courtyard is stunning, bursting with various flowers. If you come in April or May, you'd likely see the walls completely covered in roses! The owner was incredibly nice and gave us great tips beforehand on places to visit and where to eat.

Hands down the worst room I've ever stayed in!!
1. It's an old building, and my room was in a small attic – essentially a converted storage closet. It was tiny with a low ceiling, and the large window had a screen that completely prevented any ventilation! It felt incredibly stuffy and claustrophobic.
2. It seemed like a toilet was directly below my room, as the entire place reeked of urine. There were even several empty air freshener cans scattered around, clearly unable to mask the smell. This environment is absolutely not worth the price!

This charming, ancient house turned family-run hotel is nestled within the historic city walls (note that even as a hotel guest, you’ll need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the city). The warm landlady’s hospitality and generosity were slightly hindered by the language barrier (as we regrettably don’t speak Chinese). However, her helpful daughter bridged the gap via WeChat, providing tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring a smooth stay.

The location is excellent, though the room was a bit small. The ancient town is quite charming, especially in the off-season. The guesthouse itself is conveniently located right on the corner, making it easy to find. Its front courtyard, full of beautiful flowers and plants, adds a lovely, distinctive touch.

The inn is situated right within the scenic area, conveniently close to the East Gate. It's spotlessly clean and wonderfully quiet, ensuring a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, going above and beyond to help us arrange transportation and book our scenic area tickets in advance. Her mother was also incredibly hospitable and has a real green thumb, keeping the inn's courtyard looking absolutely beautiful. I would absolutely choose this inn again on my next visit to Huangyao.

While the guesthouse may not be particularly grand, its facilities are well-maintained, and it's wonderfully quiet at night for a peaceful sleep.
