Atour S Hotel, Vientiane City, Zhengzhou East Station

This Atour hotel is a high-end property with a great sense of design. The scent is lovely, and the location is quiet yet convenient. The robot room service is super quick, and the staff's service is very professional. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

I had originally booked another hotel, but then I saw that Henan was offering tourism coupons for Chinese New Year, and this hotel was very affordable, including breakfast for two. I booked it without hesitation. I arrived at the hotel at 9:30 AM, and the front desk checked me in by 10:30 AM. Plus, I got a late check-out at 2 PM the next day, so my stay was for more than a full day – I really appreciate that. They even upgraded me for free to an executive king room, and I was able to wash and dry all the dirty clothes I'd accumulated over the holiday. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly. I just mentioned that the air conditioning wasn't on and the room felt warm because the weather in Zhengzhou had been so nice and warm these past two days. The front desk lady immediately offered to switch my room. I declined, saying I was already settled and didn't want to cause trouble, but she insisted, saying it was no problem and I could leave my belongings in the current room and just use another one for sleeping! Seriously, what kind of amazing service is this? I was so touched. The breakfast featured local Henan specialties like Spicy Soup (Húlà tāng), Tofu Pudding (Dòufu nǎo), and Braised Noodles (Huìmiàn), all of which tasted fantastic. A huge thank you to every staff member for their heartfelt hospitality and smiling service – you are the best!

The room was spotless, and we even got a free upgrade! The breakfast spread was huge, and all the facilities were top-notch. It felt a lot more upscale than other hotels.

Minibar: It has a cooling function (good point). The drinks inside are all free and very tasty. It's a new hotel, so the facilities are very new. Breakfast is delicious, with bread, jam, juice (a wide variety), freshly made noodles (with many sauce options), and spicy soup, catering to different tastes. Overall, highly recommended (other aspects not mentioned are also above average).

The hotel is quite close to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, only 2 or 3 bus stops away. However, there's a bit of a walk after getting off the bus, and the hotel entrance isn't very noticeable; I almost missed it the first time. The room was very nice, spacious, very clean, and fully equipped. Because I was feeling unwell and wanted to stay in bed a little longer before going to the East Railway Station, I told the front desk I wanted to delay my check-out, without giving a reason, but they still made a note of it. It was really thoughtful and heartwarming.

The front desk staff, Xiao An and Xiao Guo, provided professional and thoughtful service. The facilities were complete and easy to use, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The internet was so stable that video calls didn't lag at all. I would definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to everyone!

Everything was fine except the air conditioning wouldn't turn cold. I went for a walk and was drenched in sweat. I didn't sleep all night because of the heat. I even scanned a QR code to complain around midnight and someone responded, explaining the reason and being quite nice. I thought I'd let it go. I wasn't planning on leaving a review. The next day I stayed at the Hilton. I hadn't slept the night before and was just starting to feel sleepy when I got a call saying I booked for 485 and needed to cancel the order and they'd charge me 400. I want to say that what they should be doing is fixing the air conditioning problem, not giving me a refund.

The front desk service was terrible; they had no customer service awareness. The cleaning staff were quite nice, but the front desk staff were awful!
