1. Excellent location. About 30 minutes away from Shapotou Scenic Area; good road conditions, one-way four lanes; a few steps downstairs to breakfast shops and restaurants; 10 minutes straight walk to the night market; a drugstore at the next intersection.
2. Cost-effective. As a tourist city in the western region, this price and configuration are OK.

JJoo HiengThe hotel is located about 20 minutes away from the Zhongwei south station. You’ll need a cab for this area and is 30-40 minutes to city of Zhongwei. Not much f&b options available around the area except for Riva (which is average)
Breakfast experience is bad. Could be better with more options. The breakfast is at Riva. There were only 1 choice of white bread. Eggs - hard boiled eggs. No eggs station. There were noodle stations. Fruits was also very basic only watermelon and rock melon. More seasonal fruits is better.
The hotel is quiet - the swimming pool could be better in operating mode. Even you can’t swim and just for picture, would be nice to soak. Bathroom amenity should be replaced on daily basis. A fan of the Le Labo amenities.
If you’re going for dinner, suggest book in advance or you’ll need to take a 40 mins trip to the city for dinner. Light meals can be ordered. The bakery is nice and love the apple cinnamon rolls, they also offer breakfast but only breads, daily freshly pressed juices and coffee. For the rate that you’re paying - it’s really just for the location and unique experience. There’s also pottery classes available.

GGuest UserThis time I took my kids to the Diamond Hotel in Zone D of the China Star Hotel. The desert is right outside the door, and the sand view is amazing! The hotel exceeded expectations, the scenery, service, and facilities are all great! Diamond was put into use in May this year, it is very new, the restaurant has rich meals, the room includes breakfast and dinner, we also went to the scenic spot to play projects, the experience was great! Our butlers Ada and Max are very considerate and take good care of us. They reminded us to eat and call a car and actively sent a car to pick us up at the airport. They are very responsible butlers, making us feel comfortable and happy during our stay in the hotel. I recommend everyone to go to the Diamond Hotel.

At night can walk around the park while the rest of the tourists leave the place. It is like the whole park is yours. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Food wise is more traditional/local Chinese food. Foreigners may not be used to it. Hotel is very clean as welll. They have complimentary breakfast and dinner, welcome fruits and afternoon tea. overall the hotel is great!

It rained on the day of arrival. It stopped at around 7 pm. Our family went to the depths of the desert to explore. The feeling of having a presence in the vast desert was great. The children had a great time with their spade, even if they didn't see the starry sky was another feeling. The next day, the weather was fine, we took the hotel's free rented sandboard to the sand slide point in the Jinshahai Scenic Area. You can sand slide for free here, but it is a bit high. The children dare to find a small slope next to them. They will learn it later. Play over and over again, one play until noon. Check out. Eat at the hotel restaurant at noon, the price is right, the portion is very large. I personally think it is better to live in the train. The deluxe standard room is bigger than expected. You have to take a taxi to the Zuoqi East Lake Scenic Area first, and then the store will drive an off-road vehicle to take you to their camp. Not far from the road, there is a big goose and a small cat. Wherever you go, the goose will follow, but its call is a bit loud. At night, you can see the stars in the sky! 🏠 Facilities I went to live in the desert tent in mid-to-late October. The temperature was a bit low at night. The face was still cold after plugging in the electric blanket. It is recommended to go before mid-October. It will not be very cold. There are two choices of tents and rooms. The price of the room will be more expensive, but it will not be so cold. The service boss is super good.
