This is an older hotel with a unique charm. It's very close to Puji Temple and the theater. The annex building is nestled in the mountains, offering a very peaceful stay with beautiful views of the trees swaying. The only minor downsides are the small bathroom, which lacks a separate shower and toilet area, and the fact that the hotel only has a dryer, no washing machine. The downstairs restaurant seemed decent, and the breakfast buffet was good. Overall, I'd still recommend it.

The room was spacious and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, with a great variety of delicious options. The hotel is very close and convenient for walking to Puji Temple. There's a food street right outside with diverse choices, and it offers great value for money. The only downside is the poor soundproofing, but it's not a big issue when there aren't many people around.

I stayed at Ruyige for my pilgrimage to Mount Putuo this time. I have to say, the service was truly excellent. They offered pick-up and drop-off at the ferry terminal, and the room was meticulously clean! There were no mosquitoes, and the air conditioning, which they turned on beforehand, was wonderfully cool! All the hotel staff were incredibly kind and patient. It truly made my pilgrimage a very comfortable stay, and I slept soundly. I'll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's super close to Puji Temple and offers butler service and pier transfers, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The annex building is beautifully traditional, and our room was quiet, clean, and had a lovely Zen ambiance. I especially enjoyed the seating area on the veranda – perfect for admiring the old trees and escaping the heat during the day, and for a peaceful nap listening to the rain at night. A wonderful surprise was finding out the hotel has its own Zen hall where you can attend classes, and a cultural exhibition hall with truly beautiful displays.

The room was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The customer service staff were patient and enthusiastic, promptly answering all my questions. Overall, I was very satisfied.

This was my first time staying at Ruyige, and the dock transfer was incredibly smooth. The hotel offers vegetarian meals all day, which makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a Buddhist-friendly environment. It's close to Puji Temple, with plenty of dining options nearby, and you can even order delivery from Guming. Overall, the service I received was commensurate with the price I paid, which is a definite plus. Now, I'll mention a few drawbacks for future guests. Firstly, everything is explicitly priced. From sodas and biscuits in the room to incense sticks, everything costs extra and isn't included in the room rate. If you don't want to pay extra, be aware of this. Even the calligraphy in the tea room isn't free, costing 98 yuan per hour. While it's not compulsory spending, having to pay for every little thing might not appeal to everyone. The wet and dry separation in our room was very poorly designed. The toilet room had an inward-opening wooden door, and I nearly hit my head getting up in the middle of the night. The light switch design was also inconvenient. If you turn off the main switch, you're left stumbling in the dark until you reach the toilet, where only a night light can be activated, and even that has a frustratingly short duration, leaving women to wash their hands in the dark after using the restroom. The water pressure at the bathroom sink was very low and didn't aim properly into the basin. On the brighter side, the hotel's complimentary travel photography service was enjoyable and a nice way to explore the hotel.

Great location, beautiful surroundings, comfortable stay, and the vegetarian food was also quite good.

The front desk service was excellent; the lady even helped with our luggage and recommended local food and tour routes. The hotel environment is also very good. Shuttle service to and from Putuoshan Pier is convenient.

Putuo Mountain pier transfer service was great, with one-on-one butler service. The room had a lovely Zen-style decor! We're already looking forward to staying here again.
