To be quite honest when we booked this hotel for one night only we didn’t have very high hopes for it. However, the contrary happened. Hilton Zhoushan turned out to be amazing; literally from the first minute that we stepped in we were greeted warmly by front desk staff. They speak very good English and the GM was very nice; once he realised that it’s our little daughter’s first birthday they offered cake and candles. They also brought a nice crib for the baby. Every single staff member’s behaviour was professional and friendly and respectful. On the 19th floor we had an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding landscape. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Good location, no beach, but at least with a car easy to go to nice beaches in short time. Otherwise in the middle of lots of restaurants, outlets and entertainment Cleanliness: Well.... 4-5 stars for the a bit old but well maintained (and for kids lovely decorated) room. 1-2 stars for the restaurant with sticky floor, sticky tables and for 2nd floor lobby toilet max. 1 star. Main issue and absolutely not Hilton standard: the breakfast. Neither Chinese (my wife is Chinese and tried it) nor western food meet any Hilton standards. No fresh fruit juice, old and dirty coffee machines. The staff was very helpful though and tried to soften the obvious issues. Which leds to the conclusion: this hotel seems to have a severe management problem. I would rather not choose it again. Especially as it was way too expensive. We paid 1700+ RMB per night (2 adults, one kid) including said breakfast.

I went to Putuo Mountain with two partners. We also stayed here last year. This year, we bought a 699 coupon. We arrived late. Jessie at the front desk was very nice. She upgraded us to a sea view room and added WeChat. The sea view room has a balcony. You can't see much at night, but it's good to open the curtains in the morning. The breakfast didn't seem to be as good as last year. The chef at the omelette stall was very good. He liked to serve the freshly fried eggs to the guests first. There were too many people at the noodle stall. There was no one from a distance. The noodle maker was not there. It didn't matter. Anyway, I was full after eating something else. Finally, the guest room WiFi could not log in with the last name pinyin and room number. I finally verified it with the mobile phone number. The hotel should check the problem itself.
